I first installed the "Patch" on the 15th of December, and it immediately broke my WLM 2012. All attempts to sync with my online account since then has resulted in some form of Delta or ActiveSync server error. After searching the web for the next week trying to find a solution to the problem, I finally gave up and did the uninstall and reinstall, to at least get my WLM 2012 back to it's pre-patched version. Initially I thought this worked. Because I could sync up, get my email, and send email. For some reason I could not delete any messages? Funny thing happened when I got home though. My WLM 2012 wouldn't sync up using my dial-up connection (my uninstall and reinstall was done at the library using Wi-Fi). The next day I went to my brother's house, and once again I could sync up (he has a Wi-Fi connection). So now I had a program that would sync up only using Wi-Fi connections, but not using a dial-up connection. Which unfortunately, was what I have at the house. I still couldn't delete any messages no matter how I accessed the internet. I had heard that since Microsoft has been tinkering with their server, it no likes a lot of messages or folders? So, having saved all of my messages from before the 15th, I went online and deleted all the messages and folders on the server that I had backed up. I knew I'd lose all my flags, and unread message data. But at this point I was getting desperate! After doing this, I uninstalled my account in WLM 2012, and added it again. Even though there was only a few dozen emails left on the server it still took a couple days to sync up. But everything looked like it was all finally back to normal. My inbox filled with all the most recent email, Sent messages had the people listed that I sent them to and not my name, the calendar sync'd up, and I could finally delete messages again! This was early in the morning on the 1st. Later that night, and now continuing onto the 2nd I can no longer sync with the server again! What would cause WLM 2012 to sync up fine after the initial setup, and never again afterward? I didn't do anything since then. My account on the server is still listed as "Outlook.com" and not "Outlook Mail", or whatever the newer accounts are switching to. I've tried it with the patch and without. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried deleting the folders where WLM stores it's data. I've tried EVERYTHING I've come across on the web since first installing the patch on the 15th, and nothing seems to keep me sync'd with the server, or WLM to function normally.

Luckily, there are better servers available without all this drama (Google Gmail), which has kept me linked up with my friends during this whole Outlook/WLM mess.

As you could probably tell, this post is half venting, and half looking for answers. After reading through the countless posts from others having similar issues I'm not foolish enough to think that my problems will all be solved. It would be nice to dream though...

Scenario:

-On 12/11, Microsoft sent an e-mail indicating I needed to "install the latest updates in order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012."

-I diligently complied, only to begin receiving Send/Receive Errors for my Hotmail Account (Note: all other e-mail accounts, GMAIL, etc. work perfectly, just as they did before).

Specifically I receive:

"Unable to send or receive messages for the hotmail (****) account

Server Error ID: 0x80004005

Server "https://m.hotmail.com/Microsoft/Server-Active-Sync"

Windows Live Mail Error ID:  0x80004005

I have already tried signing out of the account and re-signing in, as well as deleting and re-adding the entire account.  But I receive the same error and it will not download any new messages.  Again, GMAIL, etc. work perfectly.

Additional Info:

-Windows 7 Op System

-Hotmail Account works perfectly on-line and on mobile device (no access issues and it is updating as it should on those platforms)

Please help; I want my Microsoft e-mail back in my Live Mail 2012 account.  Thanks...

Nothing appears on the blue bar above my message when I try to send a new message or reply.  So I can't add an attachment or send an email.

Yesterday, I had problem downloading Movie Maker from Microsoft website so that I contacted Microsoft Answer Tech for assistance through Live Chat. He asked me for permission to share my computer screen with him remotely so he can see the process of my downloading.  At the end, he was not able to solve my problem. Under my Bookmark, I have “Banks” folder containing the websites of my banks.  Today I noticed that the websites of those banks disappeared from my Bookmark. Is it possible for him to tamper with my Bookmark? Are there any possible scams involved?
