Since asking previous question re the above error code I have tried to reply to an email in windows live mail and received the following message

An error occurred whilst trying to open this message.  A problem has occurred. Please try again.

After clicking OK the following message appears

An error occurred replying to or forwarding this message

This seems to mean that I cannot use windows live mail to send messages

Please advise

Since downloading windows10 - I was on windows 7 previously

When opening Windows Live Mail I receive the following message

"An app on your PC needs the following windows feature

.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)

Download and install this feture

Windows will get the file from windows update and complete the installation

After clicking download I receive

Searching for required files

Download fails and the following message appears

The following feature couldn't be installed

.NET Framework 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0)

Windows couldn't find required files to complete the requested changes.  Make sure you're connected to internet and try again

error code 0x800F081F

I am connected to the internet using an efernet cable so cannot understand this error message

Do I need the app

If so how do I get the app

If I do not need this app how do I stop the message appearing when I open windows live mail

I have been using WLM 2012 for many months. Post installing W10 [I suspect even before] I have had the following problems.

WLM seems to work fine for some time. Then, after starting the computer from sleep, WLM freezes and the only way to re- establish this is to restart the computer. Other times after having restarted the computer from sleep I get the message:

"Unable to send or receive for  [My account]. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages you will be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server error 0x800CCC90 etc, etc."

In entering the username and password the message just repeats and you get nowhere and have to restart

I understand this error message comes from problems in the registry and I have since purchased and run software which suppose to address this issue, without success.

I have unistalled and reinstalled WLM on 2 occasions and also queried my ISP who says it is not a problem of their system.

I have used an alternative email program and this seems to work OK. I do however prefer to use WLM.

Has anyone any ideas on this?

I am getting an error message 0x800488E5, which does not explain the problem with my movie I am trying to publish to Facebook.  Before installing Windows 10, I never had a problem publishing to FB.

Recently upgraded to Windows 10.  I am running a 64-bit system, yet program keeps linking me to a 32-bit.   How do I change it so that my email works consistently?

Hello,

I received an e-mail on 12/11/2015 from Outlook that said:

In a few weeks, we will be making some changes to our email services that might impact your @outlook.com, @hotmail, @live, or @msn email account. Those changes will prevent your email from being delivered to the Windows Live Mail 2012 application you use.

In order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012 to send and receive email for your account, you need to install the latest update published here.

I followed the link and the program gives to option, repair or remove Windows Live Mail. I did the repair and figured that applied the patch. The dl instructions were pretty vauge and pretty much just said download it and run it. It didn't mention a repair or remove option.

All seemed well until today. I noticed I had received some e-mails at my @live.com account on my phone....yet when I went to my PC they did not show up in Windows Live Mail 2012. It seems the program will still send mail from there, but it will not find new messages to my @live.com account.

I can still see the mail on the outlook.com website, but my Windows Live Mail 2012 does not show the new e-mails. No errors or anything.....if I didn't know I actually had new e-mails...it would seem everything was fine. I do have another email account setup in Windows Live Mail 2012 and it is behaving normally.

I did my best to be prepared for this "change" that the e-mail warned about, but dl that program and repairing the program did not seem to fix things. It's also weird that I can still send from it, but not receive the new e-mails.

   Help would be appreciated.

When viewing a photo in 'photos,' if I zoom in, the photo auto edits. Once it does this, there is no way to undo it besides exiting the photo. So there is no way to zoom into my photos without it editing itself. I have turned off the auto-enhancing setting in 'photos,' but it still does this. I spent over an hour with someone on the online windows help chat, but they said it was very odd and they had no solution for it. Very frustrating, and making me regret getting a windows laptop.
