I have just "upgraded" my laptop from Vista to Windows 7. I have attempted to install Windows Live Essentials 2012. Each attempt creates an error message "An unknown error ocurred - 0x80040705. Source: dotNet40". I have disabled Windows Firewall - no difference. I have disabled my Avast Internet Security - no difference. Following an answer to a post on this forum, I have run Fixit which decided that there was no error to fix! Any suggestions please? As I mainly want Mail, any alternative email prog. you would recommend if I can't get Live Mail?

Boot up mac, (macbook pro 2011 yosemite 10.5.5) and all will works fine.

At some variable time, up to a couple of hours later, the network traffic stops, when I look at any of the following Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint they have stopped responding, close them down and 30 seconds later the network connection works again.

All other apps during this process work fine other than they lose networking connectivity.

Anyone any thoughts?

I'm having issues with Microsoft Windows because of their changes to Outlook Express.

I have Windows 7 with 64 bit. I was unable to send an attachment to an email.

A member suggested a download of KB3093594 because I reported getting the windows

live mail server error 3219. It failed to do the trick although suddenly the email in my outbox on

my Windows Live Mail were suddenly getting displayed but now I am seeing "server error

Ox801941F7 Server-Active Sync".

Another member has stated that I could get the recent update for Outlook 16.5.3564.1216.

However, his entry had no live link. I am seeking to learn how to link it.

Can anyone please help?

Hello,

I went to close my Windows Live Mail and it wouldn't close so I restarted my computer. Well in doing so after it restarting I went back into Windows Live Mail and all my emails and contacts were gone. This happened a few months ago and I found my missing messages in the recycle bin. So I restored them in doing so it created a storage folder. I see some of my emails, however when clicking on the emails it will not open the email and gives me a blue error. I am so beyond frustrated, I have lots of important emails I save and there gone. Can someone please help me???

I click windows mail and it takes me to the online version where I just cannot seem to down load any of my emails. Please help. I do not know how to use this new online email! Is windows live mail an actual program that was downloaded to my computer like outlook use to be?

Thank you.

Hi I'm running Windows  7 home premium,  since some automatic updates in November I've been unable to send and receive via Windows live mail. I get a  box asking for username and password however the correct user name and password are not accepted.

I'd really like to resolve this

Thanks, Genevieve

I've used Windows Live Mail (WLM) since it became available.

I see a "quirk"  that I hope someone can tell me what it means.  It's minor.

On the ribbon where I log in, my profile picture looked like this recently.

  {green border}

Today it looks like this.

{blue border}

It has had a red border in the past.
