---Original Title: windows live mail issues---
when opening live mail get error message saying there was a problem with parsing the windows calendar
I am trying to change my Comcast email from POP to IMAP in WLM 2012. I can receive mail but I am unable to send. The port settings I have used are 465, 25 and 587 for the outgoing server SMTP.comcast.net. Neither port setting works. I have checked the box for a secure SSL connection. I get server error number 550. Does anyone know the correct port settings. I called Comcast, but they said it was a WLM issue (surprise). I am on Windows 10.
I am running Windows 8 and am using Windows Live Mail. As of this morning I can't delete any emails any more. I can open and read incoming emails but even then the blue subject heading doesn't turn gray any more (indicating that I've read the email). The delete icon doesn't work at all. I've done a reboot. I've tried fixing/repairing the program through my Control Panel - no change.
Every thing else seems to be working fine - sending and forwarding is okay.
Any suggestions?
Using Windows7 and HP2450 printer/scanner. Having purchased the HP2450 I found in the small print that scans for email have to go to Outlook.com. I normally use Google Mail. I connected to Outlook.com When I scan a document it goes to Documents although the scanner shows send to email. When I click email at top of doc.page scanned doc goes to email.
When I click Send on email scanned doc. goes back to Documents again. Any advice appreciated.
Outlook 14.6.0 seems to have provoked major identity/database issues in Outlook 2011. At the first crash I was able to rebuild the database with the then running Main Identity. Since then this method has failed following new crashes. I have followed the forum advice on how to build a new identity and copy across the relevant Data files/folders but this is not working. I get consistent -18000 errors. My data folder is around 17GB and I have around 48GB of space on this Macbook (running Yosemite). Any ideas?
Also - I have a recent backup on Time Machine (5 days old) which I will use if I have to, but I would like to have advice from this forum as to how best to proceed to avoid issues.
Q: is it best to wind back to a previous version of Office 2011?
Many thanks
Alan
