Have spent hours doing what at least 7 answers are to get windows live mail back up and working and nothing has worked so far.
In the about section of the program it tells me I have Version 2011 which has been working since installed. Now cannot send or receive email. One Microsoft site said I had to download and pay for Microsoft exchange, then put all mail there then back later today. So I signed up for 4.31 per month did what he said and it still does not work. Now Microsoft will not refund the money.
So I am up a tree without a paddle. Communicate with office by email so can return messages with photos, Now nothing.
So someone who knows how to fix please send me the answer.
Also Microsoft tech said he will fix my free account for 52.00
Need to know also is there another system somewhere I can buy that is not Microsoft someone said a Mac buy have no idea what that is.

Windows live mail is not opening/responding. It tries for about 5 minutes and then I receive an error.

I an unable to delete several emails. One I can't even open. I get the message: Unknown problem has occurred.
I have tried even moving these emails but nothing is working. How can I delete them and how can I open the one that won't open.

My Windows 10 PC froze when I tried to wake it from "Sleep" Mode. After I hard rebooted the PC, Windows Live Mail wouldn't launch. Instead, it reported errors. To paraphrase the errors, they included: "Data Folder Not Found," "Junk Filtering Not Found" and "Calendar Corrupt." I have 10+ years of emails that are involved in this mess!
I eventually figured out that if I moved my Email Message Storage to my C Drive (it was originally on my D Drive), Live Mail would launch. Unfortunately, the folder structure has been destroyed. When I open the folders that appear, they are often empty. When I find one that appears to contain information, the message descriptions look to be correct, but the preview and the actual opened messages are almost always repeats of just one unrelated email. I also tried using Backup copies of the Email Message Store, but got the same results.
Microsoft Tech Support has been nice and empathetic, and they directed me here. They assured me that, although they say Live Mail is "mostly" no longer supported, a Software Engineer for Live Mail would be available to help me in this forum. I hope that is true.
Sure could use some help from someone with experience or expertise!
