i have used outlook mac 2011 and all gone well until yesterday where i could not get any emails and it kept needing to rebuild.
I have now rebuilt and repaved with a default outlook , i have set up my live account but can not set up my work email and it comes with the could not retrieve mail account name XXX error code :-43
Can any one help me in what i am doing wrong

I get this error for several items in the at the time of this post latest version Outlook 2011: 14.4.1
I have tried to create a new Office profile and setup Outlook to synchronise everything again, but the same issue occurs.
Any ideas? Can it be something on the server perhaps?

Average energy impact is 4.27 for outlook and 1.00 for the daemon.. Not really fair to my battery: at 67% I have only 1 hour and 40 minutes!
I should have all updates installed..
It seems like it is constantly syncing all emails - but perhaps this could just be syncing that is still due? (My exchange mailbox is at least 800mb I think..)
But it seems that the sync is happening in chunks of 200-500 emails so I can't really tell whether it is fetching 'new' mail to my computer, or if it is fetching mails which was already synced - I believe with entourage it basically started from one end of a folder and then did it all in one go - this may be different?
Anyways - just wanted to know if I was alone with this..

When a owner of a meeting modifies a meeting (Changes time or date) then re-sends the invite. The participates accept the modified meeting, but it is not showing the modified times in the participates calendars.
Any Idea on whats causing the issue or any fixes?
We are using an Exchange server.

I am moving to a new computer and use a couple different emails including a Mac email, and a company exchange email. I have saved emails into folders on my current system and when I brought up my new outlook - it quickly (okay, maybe not so quickly) downloaded my emails, but not my project folders. My email system is pretty large and while I need to clean it up, I hesitate to do it before I figure out the best way to bring over my existing system.

When i accepted the recent update for MS Office including Outlook, it wiped out all my contacts set up on my computer.
It also seemed to affect the Main Identity settings as it wiped those pretty much also.
Is there a way that one can save all these things, as i actually fear having to turn my computer off, which i know i will be doing when i fly next!
Any help on this would be real;y appreciated.

I have a user using Outlook 2011 (14.3.9) with her Google Apps for Business account, and when she attempts to send an attachment from the server, the attachment is 0 bytes (it shows that way in the composition window & upon receipt). But if she attaches the same file after copying it to her machine, the file is attached properly.
I haven't had a chance to update her to 14.4.1 yet, nor have I been able to test with other users (very few people are using Outlook), but this seems like a substantial bug.
Anyone have similar experience?
