I've installed Office for Mac 2011 in English. Everything was working perfectly and I created a outlook account.

Now I switched to Dutch language. Word, Excel and PP are working fine. But when I want to open Outlook, he's blocking and give me a error: "This identity can't be open in this version of Outlook"

When I use another user on the same Imac I can open outlook just fine, so something on my user-settings is wrong, but I can't figure out what it is or how te solve it.

Who can help me?

Grt,

Erik

Updating my new macbook pro  to 365 personal for mac from office 2008 for mac on my old macbook pro. I have quite a few archived emails organized according to job, client and project that I MUST have access to on the new computer. Need to know how to transfer files from entourage to outlook to keep all my old files and archived emails intact.

Thanks!

Michele

I'm using Outlook for Mac 2011 14.4.2 with latest updates installed on OS X 10.9.2

For several days now I have been unable to access email in Outlook.  Everytime I open outlook and check mail it says "determining changes" and cycles through inbox, trash, sent, drafts etc. It spends ages doing this but ultimately no mail is received at all.

I can send mail though (?!)

My account is setup using IMAP, using the setting suggested by my email host.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the email account in Outlook, rebuilding the identity, running a new identity, logging into the computer with a different user account, deleting email from the folders on the server (via webmail) but all to no avail.  It is driving me insane.

The volume of mail on the server (accessible via webmail interface) is small with only 544 emails in the inbox (265 MB) total and 1204 email in the sent folder (260 MB in total).

Any help would be gratefully received as I am paralysed here.

Many thanks

I am currently running Office for Mac Home and Business 14.1.0 on my iMac. I had to revert to this version to rebuild my Outlook identity after it corrupted during a software upgrade several months ago. i want to try applying the updates to the latest version of Outlook for mac and have found that there are two options - either by selecting software update from within the program or by downloading the updates from the Microsoft website.

If I go the the updates on the Microsoft website, there are several updates that have been issues since 14.1.0 SP1 was released. Should I download and apply these updates individually or should I simply select the latest update. either from the website or from within the Office program? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting this error message whenever I try to open a Microsoft app.  Does anyone know what the issue is, and how I can correct it?

I have moved many emails from my exchange email account to my gmail account using Outlook 2011 for Mac.

Those emails are all part of folders/labels. When I check my Gmail account in the browser I see only a part of the emails that I moved. Checking Outlook reveals, that:

- "Sync is pending for this folder"

- Outlook starts to upload the emails that have not been synced before

- It looks like the upload is successful, no error messages, one by one all emails get uploaded

- But they never appear in Gmail

- Outlook starts the whole process all over again

This has been going on for days now. Closing Outlook, rebooting... nothing seems to help.

Does anyone else experience these issues?

Thanks for any help!

Outlook 2011 for Mac

Macbook Pro late 2013

Viewing emails in the viewing pane

Scrolling through the emails using the two finger scroll gesture via the onboard trackpad is spasmodic and jerky.

When emails are fully open as a separate window the issue disappears.

I have Office 365 Including Outlook.

I own the following hardware:

1. Sony laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate;

2. MacBook Air running latest version of OSX.

3. iPhone 4S running latest version of iOS.

Until a month ago I was syncing the Sony with the iPhone using iTunes, Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 and the Calendar and Contacts apps on the iPhone. I was able to transfer contacts and appointments back and forth with no issues. I then added a MacBook Air to my office.

The problem: Now that I have a MacBook Air, as an additional computer for use outside the office (not as a replacement), and am using Outlook for the Mac 2011 (the latest version), I cannot sync all three devices. I especially need to sync the Outlook for Mac Calendar with the other two calendars (i.e. Outlook for Windows and iPhone Calendar) along with the Outlook for Mac Contacts and the other two contacts ((i.e. Outlook for Windows and iPhone Contacts) .  (The Windows machine and the iPhone are still syncing fine but nothing is making its way to Outlook for the Mac.)

How can I do this?

We have a user that uses Outlook on MAC saying that opening attached PDF files he receives in his outlook takes long time.

Attachment with a size of 828.9 KBytes takes 10 seconds to open on his laptop connected by cable to a LAN.

The user is using Outlook on MAC to receive emails from his Office 365 account.

Please let me know if there is a fix for this issue.

Thanks.

In the Windows version, there is a very handy option when viewing a meeting appointment in Outlook.  With one click of a Ribbon button, you could send all the meeting header information to OneNote on a new page in a OneNote section you specify.    I can't find this feature in the Mac version of Outlook.   Any help?
