Hello,

How do I connect to Outlook.com using Exchange Actice Synch (EAS) from Outlook 2011 for Mac?

I have atempted to do so using these instructions from: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/outlook/send-receive-from-app

Apps that support Exchange ActiveSync

With EAS you can get your email immediately, as well as see all your folders, calendar and contacts in one place. If your email app supports Exchange ActiveSync and you need to configure it manually, use the following settings.

  • Server address: s.outlook.com

  • Domain: <leave empty>

  • User name: Your email address

  • Password: Your password

  • TLS/SSL encryption required: Yes

Thank you

Hi,

I am using Microsoft office 2011 for MAC and i am using the Outlook client within that software package. all these while i had absolutely no problem..

I have seen that recently for about a month or so now, i keep getting a nuisance message pop up all the time and it is so irritating ( though it goes off after i close) but re appears within minutes...

This is the message i get and i have no clue in the world what caused this and if any one in the community could help, i would be grateful!!!

I’m trying to import an Outlook 2007 PST file from a PC into a Mac running Office for Mac 2011. The process takes a while and then reports “Outlook has finished importing your data” but all I get are empty folders. None of the emails are imported but the folder structure is correctly imported. The PST file works perfectly within Outlook 2007. The PST file is 5Gb.

I am working on a Macbook pro and after the latest office update out look won't display emails. At the bottom it will say 0 items and 2000 unread. If I reset to default it will show all of the emails again but if I activate groups from the sort most of the time the emails disappear. It will never show sorted by From grouped. There are 5 accounts assigned in outlook and they are all setup pop3. The macbook is also running OSX 10.7. I'm stumped so any help would be great. Thanks

When I wake up my MBP from sleep, Outlook will not atomically sync.  It used to.  Now I have to quite Outlook and then launch again.  Outlook 2011 is fully updated, as is my MBP (Running Mavericks).  Thought?  Used to work just fine.

I installed update 14.4.2 on May 29.  Since that time, Outlook has announced that the database needed to be rebuilt 6 times, in some cases multiple times a day.  Rebuilding the database works for a short period of time without problems.

I have 3 email accounts set up - 1 Exchange 2007 account and 2 IMAP accounts.  I have used this setup for several years now, and have rarely needed to rebuild the database.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I have 3 IMAP accounts set up on OUtlook 2011 (Mac) and only have 2 of them showing in the folders list. I can choose to send from any of the 3 accounts and can see them all in the accounts setup, but cannot see the third account in the folders list. As such I cannot see any incoming mail from this account or subfolders. Any assistance much appreciated.
