Hi,

How are you? I have been having trouble with the Accounts dialogue boxes in Preferences. They freeze so that I can not make any changes, close the box or switch between accounts. My only option is to close Outlook entirely and reopen the Outlook.

Also, prior to this, I was unable to get Outlook to remember the passwords for the various accounts.

The computer is running OS X Mavericks 10.9.3

The Outlook Version is: 14.4.2

Outlook has also crashed. Here is the crash report:

Thank you in advance, for help in this matter.

My Outlook is forcing rebuild every few days.

Now, when i access an old e-mail and reply to it, it appears on top, as it was received at the time i replied to the message. the message shows the right date stamp, but Outlook indexes it this way...

Had a problem before, where some messages where indexed by Outlook as having been received on the year 2021!!!! that stopped after one of the rebuilds, but now this new problem...

Could anyone help, please?

OUTLOOK for MAC 2011

Hi everyone,

I have a problem. I have a Mac with Office 2011, and i need to share my calendar of Outlook 2011 with another user wich works with Windows platform and uses Outlook 2010 ...

I know how to share from Outlook 2010 ... I just wanna help for sharing de Outlook 2011 Calendar with ....

I work with Exchange Server .

Any help ???

Thanks

Pereiraf :)

I am running Mac OSX 10.9.3. When I move a lot of Outlook 2011 for Mac emails from one folder to another within Outlook the computer loses it's index information . I have to reindex the whole computer in order to allow sorting in Outlook. Otherwise when I sort by unread emails, it show nothing even though there are unread emails in the inbox. Anyone have anythoughts on why this happens and how to prevent it?

Just started using Mac Mini and managed to set up same email account as previously used. Downloaded all data onto external hard drive before changing and have now exported it to Mac but I can't find old emails or the old email folder structure. Any ideas?

Regards

I just installed Microsoft Office: Mac2011 on my new MacBook Air.

When I try to set up an email account in outlook, instructions say, from Tools menu, click Accounts... Problem is that on my Tools menu, I don't see "Accounts" as an option at all.

Is there an alternative way to proceed and set up my email account on outlook?

I have just bought a shiny new Mac Air (running OS/X 10.9.3) to replace my Windows 7 notebook for work. I was sick of lugging around the brick!

My company email is on Exchange and I bought the Office for Business so I got Outlook as my mail client (running 14.4.2). I also need to use Lync for messaging / conf calls.

After more than a week of screwing around with Outlook I continue to get the following symptoms and I feel like taking my nice new Mac back to the shop and hitting someone over the head with it! At the moment it is unusable for any work purpose given Outlook is my most critical application with the rest of the Office suite.

I have seen lots of issues with upgrading to Maverick and seeing duplicate emails, but I don't have that issue (thank goodness!)

My scenario is:

1. Outlook never refreshes my mail unless I clear the cache and then it then reloads all the mail (over the next few hours)

2. Pretty much continuously says it is either:

a. "Updating Server" which goes on for a very long time indicating typically some random number of items in my Inbox being updated (anything from a few hundred to 1500+). My total inbox has 2632 entries in it so not too huge.

b.  "Inbox : Downloading" items which doesn't give a count but again goes on for a long time

c,. Sits there doing nothing when in fact new mail has come in (as evidenced by referring to my trusty and reliable Windows Outlook client)

I did see issues around ticking the disable nap check box which I did in the hope that it would fix the problem. It didn't!

Appreciate any wisdom and help!

Running an iMac with OS X 10.9 and Outlook for Mac 2011, both full updated.

Outlook for Mac 2011 has one exchange mailbox along with an archive folder in the "On my computer" section.

Suddently Outlook indicates it needs to rebuild the identity but then fails.  I'm trying to simply create a new identity and I've added the Exchange account w/no issues but am unsure how to add the "On my computer" archive.  When I open the original identity, Outlook wants to rebuild the database after about 10 seconds which doesn't give me enough time to do an export and the rebuild fails, over and over.

I tried copying the original identity folder from /Users/theuser/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Outlook 2011 Identities to the corresponding new identity and Outlook doesn't show any of the archive (not sure it's even supposed to work that way?).

Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Hello,

This is baffling me: is it possible to see the same Calendar on two different Macs without Exchange?

  • I have a desktop and a macbook, both of which access a IMAP account.
  • I'd need a two-way set up, so that I can make an event on one, and it can appear on another.

I've read tons of forums but can't seem to get to the bottom of it. And whilst we're on the subject can I get my Calendar on my iPhone too?

Does anyone one out there know?
