i recently purchased a new computer with windows 8 ...prior to that i used my hotmail through connector to outlook and they mirrored each other correctly .

i set up outlook again on my new pc with connector and find that all my folders have dissapeared ...i cannot see them in outlook .com

any one know why this has happened and how to get them back (5 years of work !!!)

How to transfer outlook express files/folders to outlook .com. I would like to get rid of outlook express acct., and use outlook.com, but I want all my outlook express files/folders, etc (all that i have on O.E)

no valid response from outlook for regaing access to outlook (ex-hotmail) account

I made already a dozen attempts to create a new password (existing forgotten) for my wife's account.

 

I follow the procedure, give valid answers, submit it and get this as response from outlook

 

"We can't show you that page.

Our server is having a problem. We're working to fix it as soon as we can, so try again in a few minutes." 

 

BUT: a few minutes takes 5 DAYS LONG .... (so far).

 

Where are the good old Hotmail times ? ....

 

In the meantime my wife gets mad and terribly impatient....

Having the same problem as everyone else really, I have tried all of the suggestions for private browsing and signing in on another browser/computer etc in the other thread, not sure how to go forward now apart from taking the advice to post here.

How do I give my email to the moderators through the 'private message area'? Didn't completely understand this, and cant see any links? would appreciate the help since it is my university email and is pretty urgent for me.

Today when I try to save a file from word or Excel I get an error that the upload failed.  Now I am getting an error message

"The server couldn't complete this action. Error Code: 0x803d000a"

I thought this would be a goof feature but not if this happens. Any Ideas?

Setting to automatically delete past calendar events?

Is there a setting in the Outlook.com calendar to automatically delete past calendar events?  I know there is a setting for tasks once they are complete but I would like to delete old calendar events.  Currently they go back several years and are not necessary for me to keep.

The import function of Outlook.com  People function only appears to accept an import from and outlook,hotmail account.  How do I get my aol contacts over to Outlook.com?
