I have Microsoft OneNote and have files I save to my SkyDrive.  It's great to save a file on SkyDrive, so that I can open it on 'Any computer or device'.  trouble is, when I go to my laptop and go to SkyDrive and download a file I've saved there it won't open the file.  The only option given is, "Open in OneNote"  Well, does this mean I can access my file on any computer, but can't open it unless I buy a different copy of OneNote for each device I have?  What if I'm at a friend's house and I say, "Oh, I have all my files on SkyDrive, can I use your computer to open them?  Then, when I log into SkyDrive I then can't download them to edit them, unless HE happens to have OneNote on his computer.  That was the appeal, wasn't it?  That as long as I had access to a computer I could access my files?  Right now I don't have access to my Surface, where my files are kept on OneNote.  But  there's no way to open the files, unless I'm missing something really obvious.  Am I?

I have five computers.  Do I have to buy Word or OneNote for EVERY computer?

Someone else’s facebook picture is on my hotmail account

I read all the previous posts her under the category "Delete someone else's FaceBook photo from my hotmail account ASAP".   I have tried all of the solutions mentioned in theMicrosoft community responses regarding this and nothing works.  I am having the very same problem with another person's facebook account linked to my hotmail.  Nothing has worked.  Whatever solution you found for the person who asked previously for help was not provided.   Somehow the Chicago newspaper was involved.   I am in Arizona.  Can you get that solution and help me, too?  I do not have a facebook account.  I even contacted the person whose facebook account is linked to my hotmail, but he was not helpful.

Getting the run-around.  I want to cancel my annual Hotmail/Outlook autorenewal, but instead of taking me to the answer, the link on my Subscriptions page goes to Help, which doesn't have the simple answer.

I want to keep the account, but want to go back from paid to free.

This domain name can’t be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language.

Cannot access old Hotmail account

My hotmail account appears to have been hacked and the recovery phone, email and questions changed.  Information form will not submit--says not enough information.  How do I get back into my account?

Hello, I have Windows 8 on my desktop computer and I was trying to follow the MS online instructions with regard to Uploading photos and files to SkyDrive.  The steps outlined on the online 'help' are:  Go to SkyDrive.com, Open the Folder to which I want to add files, Drop files here (herein lies the problem).  I cannot find the words, an ICON, a command button; nothing that shows "Drop files here".  I would really appreciate it if someone will assist me.  Thanking you in advance, Dru

hotmail account hacked and i’m locked out

Hi, I have a hotmail account that I've had for the past 10 year. It was hacked into yesterday (pretty sure of that as i received a whole trail of failed delivery receipts for some spam email and soon after i was signed out of all my hotmail sessions). I attempted the questionnaire and unfortunately was unable to recover my account as I could not be sure of the answers to a lot of start up questions asked. 

What else can I do to get my account back? I am happy to provide any other information like what are the common emails i receive and mailing lists I subscribe to etc to get my account back. 

password reset not working

I got my account verified and suppose to reset my password but now its not working anymore been locked out really need help to get my account back I really need access to my account please help me reset my password to my alternative email. I tried putting in two more times of accunt verification I have not receive any links from Microsoft to reset my password really frustrated until I got here now. please help me :(

Auto Sync

How to auto sync outlook.com email and Outlook 2010?  Currently I'm only able to do it manually, that's if I REMEMBER to do it; thus the reason for an auto sync.  I've set my Microsoft Outlook 2010 to sync every minute, which it does, however, I cannot sync the other direction meaning if I go to outlook.com to see any emails I've sent, deleted, received, etc. in Microsoft Outlook 2010 I can only see them if I manually refresh or sync it.   I'd like my emails to auto sync both directions.
