I had an account where I've assigned my non-outlook e-mail address as an alias. I have created another account where I wanted to move the alias.

I wanted to delete the first account and be able to move my alias. Unfortuantelly when I tired to delete it I got info that I need to deactivate the Hotmail account. Now I've forgot the name of the first account where the alias was assigned and I cannot log to this account anymore to deactivate the Hotmail account


I would like to reclaim my alias and assign it to the new account - I hope it will be possible just by getting some message to this e-mail address and clicking link to confirm the move of the alias

I got two mail addresses (xxxxx)@hotmail.com and (xxxxx)@outlook.com

Hotmail is stil primary mail and outlook secondary. 

In settings it show both accounts are on send and receive but when i try to email myself i get in bounced on the (xxxxx)@outlook.com 

please help me to fix this

hi, i can't assess my account and it states that "this account can't be used to access outlook.com"
after i clicked on the link provided, it still goes back to the same error message

need some help here
my email account opens straight to the inbox when I browse to Hotmail.co.uk on my partner's Galaxy Tab!!! WTF?  I don't have a Google Account and I've never set my Outlook to open without signing in. Help please!!!

     I've got the same issue of 100s of other (as I've just discovered browsing these forums) : trying to use a custom domain and getting the infamous "domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language".

Domain: promodue.com
Description: a real world (as in: not online/digital) marketing, promotion and advertising company.

Wanted to move from gapps but I'm now concerned about the timing since I see a lot of other people have been waiting months for this to be resolved for them

I know that this thread is for resetting password, but how can I edit the Account Name and email address of the users?
I need to change the name and email of one user and in the edit option there is no such thing.

When ever I sign into outlook.com, I keep getting two outlook login windows. Once I sign in, the outlook.com at the top left will (0) (0) for no new mail or (1) (1) if I have new mail. Click on the link and get two outlook windows. Any way I can get just one window. I tried closing or login out in one window, but two windows always show up when I check my mail.  

Someone please help.

I have an account that has been blocked and all the recovery information is outdated so will not work, if i fill out the form with the relevant data then it comes back saying that there isnt enough data on the form to be able to verify the account is mine!

 

I can only fill out the general details and then the details about subjuct lines from the latest emails and the email address that i would have recently sent, i have left other information blank as im not sure on some of this information therefore i have read that i should leave boxes blank if im not 100% sure on the information - i cannot remember the last time i changed the password for this account as i use live mail 2011

 

I use windows Live Mail 2011 to access my email so i can still see emails up until the 10th of this month but then from there onwards i cannot see anything.

 

Please can someone help me get access to this account as i need it for bussiness purposes and get a lot of important emails into this account.

Brief background:

I'm new to Outlook.com. I created a user and set up a custom domain so I could add an existing email address to that domain. Due to the DNS changes to verify the domain, I couldn't figure out how to add an account to that custom domain and import email from that domain's old mail server (hosted on a regular linux webserver). The process to verify the domain would detached my ability to import to it. (Or is there a way to do that?).

So what I did is import the email from that custom domain email address into the Outlook.com account created first, before I added a custom domain. Now I am hoping to import that email across Outlook.com from one account to the other.

Is there a way to move email from one Outlook.com account to another? I tried half a dozen ideas and they all came up short. I'm stumped and hope there's a solution to the problem.
