I updated my PC with Windows 8.1 and am having a horrible time with SkyDrive. Files that I save on my LOCAL PC SkyDrive folder do not show up on SkyDrive in the cloud. I have a 512GB SSD Drive, so space is not the issue for me. I have a SkyDrive account of 27GB and only using up 1GB. So storage (either local or cloud) is not the issue. I have selected all my files to be made "available offline." However they never show up in the 'Cloud' SkyDrive. The only way to have them appear in the cloud is to drag the file to my web browser that has the SkyDrive page opened. No confidence at all in this Application now. When I try to make the file "available online-only" (Highlight the file and Right-Click) I get an error message: that reads:

"Sorry, the action couldn't be completed because the file hasn't finished uploading. Try again later"

This has 90.5 KB file has been file has been in this state for over 5 hours.  Any ideas?

Just upgraded my laptop and Surface RT to Windows 8.1.  At home I'm still running Windows 7.

On Skydrive I have a large set of photos.  Some are viewable on all 3 machines in the Photos app, but there are a number of folders which show as empty if I try to access them with either the Photos App or the Skydrive App on Windows 8.1 (both machines).  When I access on the web on Windows 7 machine, the folders still have the photos in them.

Similar to a post someone encountered last year, I have a single contact (my best friend) who doesn't appear to show up in either the Outlook.com website or the Windows 8.1 People app.  All other contacts appear correctly, and this specific missing contact appears on my Lumia 925 correctly.  I've re-linked my Facebook account, which had no effect.

I've reached out to this individual to see if perhaps he somehow "blocked" the Microsoft app in his FB settings (I noticed that "Windows Phone" is, in fact, a separate app)  Is there any diagnostic method available to an end user to determine the specific results of the API calls that Microsoft is making on their behalf that could identify if it is in fact Facebook not returning the data?

I am not able to add a domain www.bestgranites.co.in to my admin center, It gives me an error message.

"This domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language. Please contact support if you feel this is not the case."

Domain is for a word press website.

Hi

I have this problem, one of the contacts I deleted from Skype , is still showing in people tab in my Hotmail account, this contact is Skype only and I cannot find a way to get rid of it, so I was searching the forum and found that by unlinking Skype and Hotmail we can get rid of all Skype contacts from Hotmail, that's what I did, but still those contacts and showing in Hotmail contacts list.

now when we see people tab on top right it shows how many other services its connected to, Skype is still showing there

haven't connected Skype and Hotmail back yet

kindly help

thanks

I can sign in initially to Live services, but after that when I need to verify that I am myself (I want to manage my payment options, specifically) and I enter my sign-in info it just kinda reloads the sign-in page, completely empty and void of even an error message (like, say, "wrong user id/password) I've tried resetting my password, that did not work. It's probably also worth noting that I was previously included in a family plan where I was not the leader until a few days ago.

Running Windows 8.1, tried with multiple browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE, Maxthon) Full system scan says clean with avast! and AVG, 16GB RAM, 4th gen i7 Processor

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

(And forgive me for putting this in the wrong section, I could not find a section to fit it)
Has there been any rumors of a new version of Windows Live essentials for Windows 8.1?  I would be particularly interested to see a new Photo Gallery with a Modern UI.

Any one heard or seem any blog posts, news stories, or releases that may shed some light on this possibility?
I cannot recover my e-mail account when I switched to outlook what do I need to do.

I accidentally tapped on the "make files available offline all the time" option without fully realizing what it would do. Now, my 32GB RT is trying to download well over 35GB of data to my RT's <9GB of free space. I've closed the app by swiping down and tried to open it to turn it off before the sync would reinitialize to no avail - though I changed it, the sync restarts and the option is grayed out. Is there a way to cancel this download before my space runs out, or do I need to wait until my drive is full, SD throws an error and then I can change the setting somehow?

Thanks.
