I can’t add attachments to my e-mail

I have an account on Hotmail (well now Outlook.com) and when I go to "Insert" - File as Attachments, and select it from Windows Explorer, immediately Internet Explorer crashes and restarts to a "new" message in Outlook.com.  This ONLY happens in Internet Explorer version 10.0.9 on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

 

I can attach using Google's Chrome or Mozilla's FireFox browser.

This morning I woke up to 3 "Microsoft Account Password Reset code: XXXX" message on my phone. Does this mean that someone is trying to access one of my accounts? If so, how can I prevent it?

Attachments disappear when replying, replying all or forwarding-why?

My email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  When I get email there is paperclip icon, when I open the email this disappears, when I reply it disappears, when I forward it disappears.  Why is this happening? and when this be sorted?  I'm a student who has assignments due, is this really necessary????

register pc with old existing hotmail account or restore new account i previously cancelled

Hi ,

 

I bought a new pc and it asked me to register to Microsoft and I created a new account not realizing I could have used my existing Hotmail account. Every time I logged into my laptop it would automatically link me to this new account that I was not using and I would have to sign in as another user; so to avoid this I cancelled it. This apparently was not a good plan because it is still tied into my computer. So I either need to restore the new account back or I need to somehow reconfigure my laptop to accept my old Hotmail account. Is there anyway I can reregister my pc or again restore the new account. Please help!

My SkyDrive Locations Seem To Be Messed Up

Im on Windows 8.1 and for some reason my skydrive app is syncing anything that is placed on the desktop. it is also displaying what is in my skydrive storage on my desktop. This is becoming very annoying for me, and the ability to just uninstall the integrated skydrive and start from scratch isn't existing.


It shows the skydrive app in the windows explorer on the left side navigation and then my skydrive folder is also located in my C:\Users\Jonathan

but for some reason it is not correlating the connection that the files should just exist in the folder and anything placed in the skydrive spot on the navigation bar will also be in the skydrive folder.


Does anyone know how to fix this location issue, I know where to go in the properties but It seems that it is like stuck with syncing things to the desktop.

Email Windows Live Hotmail Plus accout will be closed

I pay to have a larger capacity of my outlook.com email account. Payment is automatic from a credit card. I received notice expiration date has expired and I needed to update profile. I tried to update but needed a code that they would send to listed emails which are not current. Requested info be sent to my phone number but it will take 30 days period. I do not want account closed and lose all emails. Any Ideas? Thanks

why are my attachments converting from word to rtf

Recently, for some unknown reason all of my attachments are converting from a word file to an rtf.  I have not had this problem before and cannot figure it out.  My documents are done in word and saved as a word file.  Then when I attach a document to an email it shows as an rtf file. Did I do something to change the default attachment? And if so, how do I change it ?  It is important to note that this if for my Hotmail account, which is now an outlook.com account.  I have found information on the website but found that it applied to the Microsoft office email and not Hotmail.
