Hi, this is a new account I made, but for some reason with my other email account I log in with the correct email and password spellings but it says 'Looks  like someone is using this account' or something like that. Then it tells me to either send a code to the email that I used to make that account or to do a questionnaire. I have done the questionnaire several times and nothing happens. This is very annoying.

PS I do not know the details for the other email address and no one is using my email address.
Team Microsoft,

I tried accessing my hotmail email inbox earlier today and was quite surprised to find it upgraded to an outlook.com account. While the new interface looks great and seems quite user-friendly, it had the slight drawback of having "deleted" all my previous emails.

We're talking about upwards of 10 years of emails including extremely important business correspondence just vanishing. I have read through multiple forums where users had similar complaints and am yet to find an exhaustive explanation or an effective solution.

I am using Windows 7 OS and Google Chrome browser. I have, thus far, taken the following steps, as suggested by Microsoft personnel in several of these forums:

1) Signed into my account within the last 365 days (account was created more than 10 years ago so its not a "new signing up" issue.) Also, I do NOT have a welcome email in my inbox.
2) "recover deleted messages" - did not work.
3) My account has not been hacked, nor have I left my PC unattended and inactive.
4) I have not manually deleted my emails of over 10 years.
5) I am not using an email client, third-party filtering, or other software to access / moderate / and or alter my account. Years ago my hotmail account changed or was upgraded or modified to Windows Live Mail, much in the same way as outlook.com has now come about. I'm not sure how or why that would count as an email client, particularly since I still just type www.hotmail.com in my address bar.
7) This link: https://col0-sec.mail.live.com/mail/MailMigrationSelectAccount.aspx?mms=client looks deceivingly like a solution (talks about migrating mail and contacts from Windows Live Mail to Outlook) but I am loath to trying this as I am using Outlook Express on my PC to manage a completely seperate account and am not sure what impact using this software will have on that arrangement. If you could provide some insight in this regard that might be helpful.
8) We're talking about several thousand emails so clicking "Show messages individually" is unlikely to solve this.

I am not quite certain when the account was switched to outlook.com, I have not tried to downgrade or deactivate my account at all, I've had no issues logging in, I have folders and some nested folders- all of which have also vanished.

It seems getting a private message from you chaps is the only way forward. I would be highly obliged if someone could please respond in an expedient fashion and help resolve this situation at the earliest.

For the past two weeks I have aproblem sending replies or new messages. When I press SEND, I hear the bell tomne, and they are posted into my SENT box, but they never reach the addressee and I do now get any message from my server company. Can you help please ?

Trying to register our domain www.netparcel.com with Outlook.com
But we get this message "protected word or inappropriate language in outlook.com"

I have been having a problem logging onto my email account all morning.  When I log in I get an error message that says that outlook appears to be having a problem at this time.  It then gives me the option to report the problem but I am unable to receive individual notification of a solution. Can anyone else tell me if they have been having this problem today as well.
It used to be that when I clicked on my sign in icon I would get a page that asked for my email address and password. But now it takes me directly to my inbox. This means that anyone who uses this computer can read my email. I'd rather not. How can I get the password page back and keep it?

Ever since I have migrated from the Hotmail site to outlook.com I have been losing older emails (4 to 5 years old)?  Is there a way for the outlook to recover emails they have removed?  Is there a retention policy?  What is the recommended back up process so that I do not lose emails?  I have kept my email on email servers for back up purposes over the years.  If this is not the preferred method I need to know what is.  Thank you
When I try to send an email with attachments I get a notice Internet Explorer has shut down.

I primarily use Outlook on my desktop and want to keep it that way.  I do a lot of work with a company and send and receive emails from several users all day long with no problems.  All but one person can send me an email with attachment without any issues.  If this one specific person sends an email with attachment, it will get to my outlook.com web interface but WILL NOT sync up with Outlook on my desktop or iPhone email.  This is one user, only when there's an attachment.  It works the same way if she forwards a message with attachment or creates a new email with attachment.  The same user can send me non-attachment emails just fine all day long.

I have worked with their corporate email help desk.  They looked through several messages and the headers looked normal to them.

I normally don't use outlook.com on the web because I have Outlook on my desktop, but have to remember to check the web daily in case there's something hiding there.  Fortunately I can work with these strange emails without issue from outlook.com but of course I prefer to have all my email in one place.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeremy
