Transfer of HOTMAIL.COM to OUTLOOK.COM

I cannot get my HOTMAIL account added to Outlook, nor can I get into HOTMAIL.COM because Outlook diverts all HOTMAIL.COM URLs to Outlook!!! I have lost everything and the Outlook will not recognize the HOTMAIL account as the one assoiatedwith my computer!

SkyDrive Group Storage limit calculation

I was looking at SkyDrive Groups and noticed the storage limitation.

 

Now it is really annoying that there is a limit of 1GB, but that is not my question. I wonder how this is even calculated. I mean I have my personal folders on SkyDrive that I can select to share with my group. Does that mean they stop counting on my storage or ... ?

 

So What is counted and what is not. Does it matter who added it or where it came from. Are emails counted too towards the storage limit or not.

 

Just trying to understand how it is even possible to separate the storage that I bought and paid for on my account and that of the group which by the looks of it is stored in the same place :-)

 

Looking forward to a good explanation.

Hacked Hotmail and getting no help from Microsoft

My hotmail account has been hacked and after filling out several forms of security questions and being told they still cant verify me, and going to live chat to get help and getting nowhere I need to get back into my account as I have important things in my folders there and a hacker has access but I cant ......it seems to be crazy and bloody frustrating as I am no techno guru

Setting up IMAP for Hotmail/Live on Mac Mail

Hi,

I'm aware that IMAP has been released for outlook.com and so i've been attempting to set IMAP up on my mac within the mail app.

my email ends in @live.co.uk

is IMAP released for @live.co.uk as well as @outlook.com

For over a week now i've been unable to add the email account to the client.

Any ideas why it isn't working?

Im in great need of accessing my emails on a regular basis without having to login to the email portal, hopefully someone will know the solution.

I have till the end of the day to figure this out. I have done everything the instructions have said to do and nothing will work. Very frustrating to say the least.

Whay is this being so complicated when there is no need for it. Could someone suggest  a solution ?

How can you declare a user TRUSTWORTHY to avoid the “Be careful! This sender failed our fraud detection checks.” message?

Simple Query:-

 

How can you declare a user TRUSTWORTHY to avoid the "Be careful! This sender failed our fraud detection checks." message?

 

I have added the Company to my Safe list, but still see the message,

 

I neither OWN the Company responsible, NOR do I have any say whatsoever over what they do, I cannot tell them to change anything,

so telling me to contact them and ask them to get some DNS setting changed by their ISP is pointless,

 

Getting the message "be careful" is extremely annoying, I want to be able to turn off the Warning for the sender.

 

as an aside, seeing these warning messages pointlessly means the user becomes accustomed to the warning being Pointless, and the user is far more likely to simply ignore the warning for all future senders. The warning thus becomes Counter Productive.

Cant close Hotmail account

I cannot close my hotmail account. I am taken to a link that says that I need to deactivate my Hotmail account first. When I click on that it takes me to man.com. Help please.

I am trying to get to my Outlook.com account, but after I enter "outlook.com" into IE's address bar it starts an extended sequence of switching between URLs login.live.com and about:blank  until after several iterations I finally get the dreaded message "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in at the moment.". This seems to happen regularly on my PC, though never happens from my Surface RT. I can restart the machine, reset my browser, but nothing works. After several days sometime I can get in alright, but then suddenly it blocks again. I would be grateful for some explanation of why this happen, or where to look for things that might be incorrectly set up. I've searched all over the web, without luck. It's not like I'm a newb - I'm an IT pro and have been using email for decades, but I've never experienced anything like the continual frustration of having a Microsoft/live/outlook account.

I lost all of my old e-mails. I do not know why it happened? Could you please help recover my old e-mails.

I tried the recover option available through the delete tab option page but did nothing.

 

I am really surprised why it happened. Please do not say that you are sorry. I really need help!
