Question about Outlook Express

I am making a video from several clips shot in MP4 format.  I can load the clips into Movie Maker and can trim them just fine.  The issue is that when I playback all the clips together, some of the clips go black and the hazard icon says it needs fixing, which it cannot so I have to remove that clip and re-insert the clip and trim it back down which solves the issue but then another clip mysteriously goes bad. This goes on forever.

The error code is 0x87260103

I am using Windows Live Mail 2012, but since this is being discontinued, I'd like to know if Microsoft Office 2007 Academic Edition. Would this version work in place of it. Does anyone if this would work? Please Let me know.

I am running Windows 10 and noticed that Movie Maker won't show videos that are MPG (only audio).  I read other posts that say to download converter software but my antivirus program blocks them as malware.  Can anyone suggest how to SAFELY convert these MPG files to WMV or AVI?

I have recently set up my email accounts in Windows 10 Mail (3 x POP3  accounts).

No sent emails are displaying anywhere in any folders. I have checked all sent folders.
Programme appears to be sending ok but not saving or viewing once sent.

Can anyone help please?
