Since yesterday I have been unable to send emails. I am using WIN8.1, have a Verizon email address and have not had an issue in the past. Spent hours on the phone with Verizon, my incoming and outgoing settings are fine. I was told it was an issue with the server not connecting.

The message I am receiving is "your server has  unexpectedly terminated the connection due to inactivity, etc."

I tried the chat option, only to find out the techs only deal with the mail app installed with the program and directed me here. I have looked around and cannot find any info to help me.

note the above problem. how do I set / reset the windows live mail protocols to find and pull in my yahoo email?

Update. I did a system restore, then re-added the account after removing all folders from my gmail home page. Recreated the folders and it seems to be working ok now. Still trying to get the kinks out of getting certain mail to download into my recreated folders in WLM. At least I can get email in WLM. I dislike having to go to the web for it. Thank you everyone who tried to help me.

I managed to download the WLM software on my new laptop.

But non of the hotmail/gmail addresses I entered actually worked.

And I did it EXACTLY the same way as always - so I think it really sopped supporting anything.

How do I get rid of the calendar and it's obnoxious error reporting every time I open Windows Live Mail.
