Question about Outlook Express

I am unable to receive e-mail.  It keeps asking for a username and password but won't accept it.  I get this error message:

I am just setting up Outlook 365 on my desktop hard drive.

Just added the MS mail accounts, will work on adding gmail and charter.net accounts later.

But for now......

I have 12 email accounts in WLM.

My Storage Folder in WLM is filled with subfolders.

Some of the subfolders contain email messages from many of the 12 email accounts.

Meaning a single subfolder in  WLM Storage Folders can contain messages from

many or any or all of those 12 email addresses ......msn/live/outlook/gmail/charter.net.

I want to import all those storage folders into Outlook 365 without having them 'linked/tied'

to any email account. Which is exactly the way it works in WLM.

Soooooooo how can I make Outlook O365 look like this....

iFiredog,   I installed as per your offline link and installed offline (or at least it said all was installed) but I cannot open Windows Live Mail.  I get the pop up window that says: "Windows Live Mail has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Any suggestions?  I really need my Live Mail back for the many things I had stored on it and all my contacts.

Hmmm, all I hear is silence on this one.

I too am having this issue.  The refresh time in Windows Live is painful these days - just started within the last month.

I am getting the same error constantly.  To me, it appears that Microsoft is doing something that is causing this.

I changed all my LIVE email accounts to IMAP months ago following FIREDOG's instructions and everything was running smooth and now it's not!

I haven't changed anything at all on my PC so what's going on?????

I am getting an error message when trying to send or receive messages (not all the time)  ... I use Windows Live Mail.. last year downloaded Microsoft 10 and upgraded with your help Windows Live Mail.

However, recently getting error message 'unable to send or receive message.... etc. etc. .imap command could not be sent to service to due network, etc. etc. and other error messages..

I'm an untechy and need step by step directions to correct this problem. 

I also have various 'files, folders' that I've tried to delete thinking I may not have enough room, and then get the same error message for that and suggesting that I update IMAP.. which I have no idea now to do that..
