Please help. I'm suddenly having trouble with my Windows Live e-mail.
This is the error message I keep getting.
Unable to send or receive messages for the John's E-mail (j*r**####) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later.
Server: 'inbound.att.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes
It also says "Your POP3 server has not responded in 60 seconds. Would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond?
Account: John's E-mail (j*r**####)
Server: inbound.att.net
WAIT or STOP Button.
The logon screen keeps popping up and asking for the password as well. I put in the new one and still nothing works.
The password is correct, so I don't know why it's saying it's wrong. I am able to log into my ATT e-mail thru their att e-mail website, but I want Windows Live back and working correctly for my personal computer.
I am able to send Outgoing messages, but not able to receive any new messages with Windows Live.
Please please please someone help me figure this out. Thank you for any time and help you can give! If you need any other additional information, just ask.
Instead of a yellow envelope icon for Inbox messages I get a white half envelope icon and the message won't open. Then, at some time later, the white half envelope icon may change to a yellow envelope icon with no known action on my part.
For background information, I use Windows 7. After Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail didn't work any more, jFiredog of Community helped me get it working again in June 2015. Now suddenly I have to struggle to get it to download incoming messages. I have saved images of the error messages I get and I wish I could send them to you as attachments on this forum or with an email message.
One interesting fact that may or may not be significant: Microsoft is not supporting Windows 7 and since the cut-off date I haven't received any updates from them when I shut down the computer -- except once, maybe(?) around the time that this Windows Live Mail problem started. Maybe two months ago, Microsoft did download something onto my computer without my permission when I shut down. Could there be a connection between that update and my problem?
I would be pleased to send you any additional information that you need to help me. Thanks.

Split from this thread.
This has not helped me either! I have had IMAP accounts for some time but after I changed to Windows 10 this problem showed up. It is very hard to just get through a few emails when everything stops after deleting, flagging, or moving an email.
I have also had a almost constant notice that the server has terminated the connection. I did not have this problem before Windows 10 so I suspect the two issues are related to installation of Windows 10.
My attempts to solve this problem with my emails seem to fall on deaf ears, is there anyone who knows how to take care of this issue at almighty Microsoft?????

My Movie maker did not shut down correctly and now I only have a temp file for my video and it will not open. Is there anything I can do to save the 10 hours worth of work I did on a movie maker project? It was saved many times???
