I have been using Windows Live Mail 2012 on my Windows 8.1. I have decided to upgrade OS to Windows 10

I want to use the new mail client included with Win 10

I only use Live Mail 2012 with private (non-MS) POP3 email servers, I do not use any MS accounts. So, all of my email and contacts are stored locally on the machine.

How do I get all of these contacts and emails, including quite a few folders of essential archived emails, into the new client?

I have looked for support, but everything I can find involves recovering the emails/contacts from a MS server, but not from locally stored data.

Any help gratefully received. Thank you.

I have some great black/white photos from the 1900s thru the 70s. I don't have scanner/printer but I was wondering if it was possible to, and if so how to, take picture of picture using my laptop camera and then I wanted to use these images in windows paint 3d. I hope this makes since to someone because the virtual agent was not getting it. My apologies for not knowing how to explain very well. Thankyou. I also apologize if it is not in the right category.

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 10 on it. I had Live Photo Gallery installed but when I go to open it, I get the following message:

Photo Gallery can't start because Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition is missing. Would you like to go to the Microsoft Download Center to install it?

I go to the download center and click the link, which tells me that the download is no longer available.

I used Microsoft Chat to try and get a resolution. They told me I had to update my Windows 10 to the latest version and he guaranteed me that it would work. Guess what, it didn't.

I then went to chat again and got absolutely NO help at all.

Please help me!!! I only like using Live Photo Gallery for editing my pics.

"Contacts Page" freezes Computer when accessed in Windows Live Mail 2012. Can only get out of it by restarting Computer. Cannot select any contact or anything else on that page. Microsoft has apparently stopped all support for this Program, including the repair facility in the Programs called Microsoft Essentials. Tried, the new Windows 10 Mail App,but do not like it. Too unintuitive.

Sure would like to get Windows Live Mail back again but it in no longer available for downloading.

Thanks,

Dave Porter

This has only happened in the last 2-3 months.

Windows Live Mail Calendar only works when I'm NOT signed in.

When I sign in again, having updated the Calendar offline, the (online) Calendar version freezes, and contains no entries.

If I am SIGNED OUT, I can't get access to my Address Book.

Is this because I have recently changed email address??  Where are the WLM parameters located?

Do I need to disable somewhere a dependency of WLM on my old address?

Any clues?

I use Windows Live Mail.  To get to server settings Microsoft tells me to "Open Outlook 2013.  When I try, all I get are advertizements to sell Outlook 2013 or ads to provide services for a fee.  How to open Outlook 2013 without buying something, so I can determine server settings?

I have not been able to receive messages for two days.  My internet provider tried to help me but now tells me this is a Microsoft issue.  I have 4 emails set up with Live Mail and only one email address is affected.

It looks like I can send an email because I am able to access my internet providers website where I can also look at emails from this one address.

This has also affected being able to receive emails on my phone.

This is the error I get:  (It is the correct password)

An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try again.
Server: 'pop.windstream.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

Please help.

Thank you.

For the last 10 days I have had a terrible time logging onto my email account.  I click my icon, nothing happens.  I right click, nothing happens, I go into my programs and click, nothing happens.  Eventually 15, 20 minutes later or after I've gone and done something on another program, it will open up.  Then sometimes it won't open a new message for me to write an email.  It won't let me look at my files.  Re-starting doesn't seem to help.  Any ideas?
