I understand that email message rules are contained in the Registry at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Rules\Mail. I cannot boot from my C: drive - is it possible to access the contents of the Registry via Windows Explorer?

I've been having this problem when editing video in WMM for a very long time now, and it's driving me absolutely crazy. When I trim a segment, whether via the trim tool, "set end point", or "split" (and then delete the excess), it never, ever cuts where
it says it does. It finds the next visually differentiable frame, the one I'm trying to cut out, and inserts that in. This happens even when I cut 3-4 frames before the scene switches. How do I get rid of these things, short of exporting, converting
to a gif, and editing in frame by frame?
I have 2 laptops. After upgrading to Windows 10, my webcam disappeared one lap top and my microphone disappeared on my other laptop. And I can't seem to find an option for imaging devices to reinstall the drivers. Any advice would be great. TIA
