Question about Outlook Express

I'm trying to recover old emails from a hard drive. The contents of the "Outlook" folder I found on the drive look like the following:

I've managed to install windows live mail and import the mails from files with extension .dbx.

But I also need to import those with extension .old (The Inbox.old is about 2Gb large so there is definitely something there too).

I tried changing the extension of those files to .dbx too but nothing gets imported.

What should I do?

how do I restore my windows live in mail?  Am able to send mail but have not received any since July 3, 2017.

i was editing a video on windows movie maker and then i left, with my computer on for a few hours. when i got back, my computer had restarted and now i cannot find the video file saved anywhere. i would assume that it would save it when it restarted but im not sure if it did because i cant find the file anywhere.

Hi, recently a migrate my accounts from Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail, as I needed to uptdate my Windows and Computer. I'm currently using Windows 10 now and install Windows Live Mail. On my Outlook express I had my contacts separate in groups as I use them to send them different prices of my work. Now I see that once I imported my contacts to WLM, these groups had dissapear. Is there any way to import them just like they were? Do I have to separate them again using Categories?? The thing is that they are around 300 contacts and it is too much.

I have Windows 7 and Live Mail.  I want to attach an unsent draft email to the email I'm sending to another person.  I need to get their approval before I can send the draft email.  How do I do this?  Or can I do this?  When I right-click on the draft e-mail, the "forward" and "forward as an attachment" are greyed out.
