Question about Outlook Express

OK, so my computer AND Movie Maker worked fine, until yesterday. What is going on? There is now an error that says my computer is incompatible with movie maker and I REALLY need it to open. 

"is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error"

My computer did an update the night before last and, suddenly, nothing necessary to me works! WHY?

While working on my PC there was a sudden glitch and the screen said that there had been an error and was in need of restart which began automatically. Have not seen this before

When the PC had rebooted I then went into my Windows Live Email and all my inbox, sent items,junk mail and deleted mail had been lost. One sent email from 2014 remained and 20 odd random deleted items. There was not even an inbox folder listed anymore. There was a folder of 'recovered items' that I hadn't noticed before but again all the recovered items were empty and there was only about 30 of them  

Contacts were still there and some random drafts.

This could be a disaster for me if I can't recover them

When I insert a memory stick into the drive on my desktop computer, I get the following message. An error is preventing the photo or video from being displayed. Error code OX80010108. This is happening with all my memory sticks.

Any help would be appreciated.
