I need only certain parts of a video, so I removed many sections, some of them very short. I set it to music and the playback looked good. After saving the video and watching it again, I noticed that in many of the places where I made edits, some frames were somehow reintroduced into the playback. The final outcome is jarring as throughout the movie there are flashes of different scenes.
Can this be fixed? How?
Can anyone suggest a tool similar to Moviemaker and is free.

I hope this is the correct place for my query.
Can anyone suggest or recommend a good and much more important SAFE video editor for W10? I mourn for the old Windows Movie Maker although basic at least it worked. I have been using NCH but it needs renewing and when I tried to renew for another year somehow it didn't go through. I've seen several, what seem like, good programmes on offer but not sure if they are safe e.g. AVS video editor. I've also come across Filmora video editor. I need something that's not too complicated but one where I can do transitions, titles in various fonts etc., plus editing my own music to add. I have a video ready for my daughter who lives in Australia but can't burn it for her as it is only stored as vpj (a file for NCH) I don't mind paying as long as it is a good programme and not too expensive. I do lots of home videos and am absolutely lost without the means to do them. Thank you for any help.
Susan
