Question about Outlook Express

First time posting a question, but I could really use some help,

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. (Using first an upgrade to 8.1Pro). I used to edit and create videos with Windows Live Movie Maker on Win7 very easily, using various types of video files. Since I have upgraded my operating system, I have also upgraded the WLMM. Now I find that I cannot add or edit .mp4 or .mov files. Typically these are recorded from my iPhone and from my camera. I tried to convert them online to .wmv so I can play them, but every time I add a video, it immediately says that it is corrupted, and produces a cascade failure on my project. Sometimes it will allow a video or two to be loaded, but ultimately the last video causes a cascade failure of the files, one by one.

I have tried using the Microsoft fix-it tool, and it says that it is not supported for my operating system.

Movie maker (2012) is cutting off 10 minutes of my  audio file 56 minute MP3.

It was working fine and suddenly its doing this to every MP3 audio file on average. My audio files are 59 minutes long and it is cutting it at about the 47 minute mark on each one. I tried resetting my defaults on Movie Maker but it still doesnt work 

MOVIE MAKER SUCKS

Since changing to Windows 10 group contacts will not go. On editing the contact group. The names are still listed but not recorded. After re-entering the names in the group and saving, it still will not go and on checking, the names have been wiped from the recorded section.

It has always worked fine on Windows 7 and 8. There are no problems with individual emails.
