Windows Live Mail FAQ
The guy at the computer store could not get Windows Live to download on my new Windows 10 either.
I would like to start from scratch and download windows live to my computer, but I cannot find any listing for downloading windows live to Windows 10. Is it now longer offered?
I am a Peace Corps Volunteeer serving in Morocco. The Youth Center where I work has a number of computers with out programs or an internet connection.
I am working to add programs that would turn the computers into useful educational and research resources I would like to add a Movie Editing Program to the machines, preferably Movie Maker found in the Windows Essential Package. It is by far the eaiest to use video editing software available. Ideal for beginners.
Unfortutnaly to accomplish my goal I need an internet connection which is not available. Does Microsoft make available an executable file that I could download and install? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have tried to install Windows Essential 2012 but after it goes through the process a message pops saying it can't install because another program is installing. If I retry I get the same message. I am not installing any other applications. Why can't I install Windows Essential 2012 on Windows 10?
Since installing windows 10, Live Mail is throwing up the following error message on some of my monitored email accounts but not all.
Unable to send or receive messages for the *************** account.
Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003
It seems to be random whether an account works or not, some being live.com others outlook.com etc. They work fine on the Live.com website so I know the passwords and configuration are right. They also worked perfectly before the upgrade.
I have tried the various regedit solutions - the one that goes:
Browse to the location:
ComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindows LiveCommunications ClientsSharedPolicies
Please delete the key marked "ssl.live.com_MBI_SSL" and restart Windows Live Mail
doesn't apply as I don't have that key. Only: messengerclear.live.com_MBI_KEY_OLD
I have also tried the download "fix" from Microsoft - no change.

We have several networked PCs all using the same list of Contacts. We also have Categories set up for mailing purposes but cannot keep the Categories in sync eg if we add a Contact to a Category on one PC, it does not show as added on the other PCs.
Same difficulty occurs for PCs where there is more than one user sign in.
I was forwarding all my email accounts to Windows Live for the last 4 years. I had numerous folders and emails saved. On September 30th my account complete reset deleting everything except my contacts. All emails saved, folders everything is gone. Is there a way to recover all that information?

Okay so recently i shot a video to upload to youtube, but when i went to edit the video like i normally do, on windows movie maker, it loaded the video but you can't see it in the box; the box is just plain black. Also i have tried using photos and they work but after trying several other videos i found it was just videos that don't show. Also the audio from the video doesn't play but if i add music it does...
Any suggestions?

When I send an e-mail and then check in the sent box if it is there, I get the following message:
'Your server has unexpectedly terminated the server connection....
Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

I have been using Live mail "forever" but since my provider TDS switched from gmail hosting servers to their own tds hosting servers, I get this error. It stopped for several months but now is back
EVERY time I try to open an email, I get this error, but then the email IS open
EVERY time I try to send an email get the same error
EVERY time I try to refresh (send/receive) emails I get the same error
I have 2 email account in Live Mail:
TDS and Hotmail. The Hotmail NEVER has this error; TDS constantly
I run WIN7 Home Premium on Desktop
I run WIN7 Professional on Laptop
My husband runs WIN7 Home Premium on Desktop
We BOTH get this error therefore I have to believe it is TDS's problem causing it
