All my other MS apps are working like Word, Powerpoint and Excel but Outlook just locks up half the time and the spinner keeps me from accessing the top menu to exit.  The only option is to turn the computer off and start over.  Not consistent, but started immediately after I finished the upgrade from Mountain Lion to El Capitan..

Working on a laptop running W8.1.  Using Windows Live Mail 2012 because that's what was running on previous laptop.

Now it won't start.  Splash screen just sits there.  The first time this happened, after trying sfc /scannow and repair all Essentials programs, and running MalwareBytes, I did a system restore.  That solved the problem, but only for a few days.

So now I am asking how I can salvage the content - primarily inbox, sent files, contacts - before I try a reinstall.  I found the folder where the messages seem to be located, but for some reason when I right click the folder in File Explorer (to move or rename it) I get the spinning blue ball and File Explorer stops responding.  Guess that could be a symptom too.  Windows Live Mail files seem to be in a lot of places.

I am not the first person on the forum with these problems, but I haven't seen a cure.  Any recommendations on an alternate e-mail program, short of jumping to Gmail or Outlook.com, are gladly accepted as well.

So i'm pretty new to windows movie maker and i want to use it to edit my videos for youtube. So i can use the files and i have the video i want to edit but i want to cut little parts out. I was using the "cut" tool but i couldn't understand it. I realised the trim tool was more for where you want it to start and end but i dont really want that. It's also more confusing because i dont want to cut a whole scene out either Could someone please help? Thanks :D

I installed windows 10 right after it came out and installed windows live mail 2012 at the same time. Ever since then windows live mail keeps deleting my emails at random times. How do I stop it? Never had this problem with windows 7

In Sept. I lost my main mail account due to error 3204 & so I then created a new mail account & tried to contact all my addresses to inform them of new address.  ( I lost all contact information because of error 3204)

My new mail account has worked for 2 months & yesterday I again had an error 3204.  I contacted Microsoft chat & tech worked with me for 30- 40 minutes trying to solve problem & then hung up without solving problem.  I have tried everything recommended & no solution.

I haven't deleted the account & then tried to recover it yet hoping to find a different solution because that didn't work before.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I Sure need help.

I downloaded one version of Windows Essentials, already, but it won't run on my Windows 10 computer!  Within a few seconds, it crashes.  I certainly *hope* I got the wrong version of it!  I used it for years on my Windows 7 computer, and LOVE the program, but have been very disappointed with the photo apps I have tried so far on my new Windows 10 computer!  I want Photo Gallery back!!
I update the last Microsoft version 14.5.6 for Office 2011 for Mac and i still have on Outlook 2011 the Spinning Wait cursor is displayed, and the application status is displayed as "Not Responding. What can i do ?
