Windows Live comes up with 2 sign-ins. How can I remove the 2nd one?
Several months ago, my account on this computer, not that of another user also on this computer, starting getting the Windows Live ID Sign In Assistant error, "... caused parts of some services to be disabled, etc..." that many have reported but there seems to be no cure for. Coincidental to that annoyance cropping up, one of my two email accounts started prompting for the password for access. I tried entering the password, but it won't take it and keeps prompting and then I noticed that the account was functioning just fine, sending/receiving, without ever resolving the password prompt window, so I closed the window.
While WLM and all is quite functional, the process is very annoying.
This computers is a W7 Home Premium SP1 machine
Steps taken to resolve have been limited and quite unproductive. In one process (can't remember the application name), I changed Windows Live ID Sign-In Assistant in services.msc from Auto to Manual and that didn't resolve anything. In another step, I upgraded Windows Live Essential from 2011 (possibly earlier) to '12 and that didn't improve anything.
Oddities: only effects one of two users on this computer and only effects one of two email accounts in my user account. I have no issues with WLM on my W8.1 laptop
Suggestions for remedy are appreciated.
keep loosing content from windows 10 email. Content is there with outlook & if I sign into virgin it is there.
Emails arrive on cloud but no content.
Recurring fault. may take 2 or 3 days to populate.
Any clues ?

Yesterday I became unable to send or receive emails from any of the 4 accounts. When I click on the inboxes of the accounts, select an email message to read, or try to delete an email message, the "unknown error" message box pops up.
I searched the Internet and tried a couple things. One was that I opened up Command Prompt under my Programs >Accessories folder and typed in the text at the prompt to scan and repair Windows files. I tried this 2x and both times it stopped after reaching 42% progress.
Today I restarted my computer and opened Windows Live Mail. New messages came in but after that I could not send or receive emails and received the following error message for the 3 Time Warner accounts:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Stny.rr (xxxxxxxx) account. An unknown error has occurred.
Server: 'pop-server.stny.rr.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800C0160
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
On all 4 email accounts, the checkbox is check for Outgoing Mail: The server requires authentication.
I don't want to have to upgrade to Windows 10 if I don't have to because of possible compatibility issues with software I have on my computer.
Any ideas on how to resolve my email problems?

I now open windows live mail in windows & and it gets hung up and then it says
WINDOWS LIVE STOP WORKING, IT WILL RESTART,
which it does then windows live mail has stop working ..a problem, caused the program to stop working correctly . Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Now i did get an email a week ago
In a few weeks, we will be making some changes to our email services that might impact your @outlook.com, @hotmail, @live, or @msn email account. Those changes will prevent your email from being delivered to the Windows Live Mail 2012 application you use. |
In order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012 to send and receive email for your account, you need to install the latest update published here. I did click here and did the latest update, I even rebooted twice..still getting the same message!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any one have a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I am trying to upload a video into Movie Maker. It is in mP4 format and playing in Vimeo and also with quick time player, but does not open with windows media player. When I go to upload it into movie maker it says "error" and says that the only way to fix the problem is to delete it from the project. I think the video was taken on someones android phone.
Please help quickly. Thank you!!
