I replaced the Hard drive with a ssd. I used Acronis True Image to clone the hard drive on my HP pavilion dv7t laptop.

There is nothing wrong with my old drive accept it is slow compared to the ssd.

The system boots and seems to work accept when I try to start Windows Live Mail I get the error about corrupted calendar

and Windows live mail must exit. Then I get a window that says windows live mail was installed incorrectly or you are out of memory.

I tried another account on the system that never would of used Windows live mail and it fails the same.

I created a new account and it also fails the same way.

I removed windows live mail 2011 and installed 2012. I did the repair and it says all is clean but I still get the same error on old and new test account.

The only other symptom that is different is when I log into secure accounts that want to verify this laptop, I get a message you have never logged in from this source and they send a text to verify.

I put the old hard drive back in the system and windows live mail runs ok and secure sites recognize this laptop like normal.

I did the clone instead of a backup and restore because and issue with the HP Pavilion and ssd drive was not recognized

during boot.

It is like I have a different system and maybe something is up with licensing with the ssd drive instead of old drive.

I have Windows 8.1 and Windows Live mail 2012 and did the upgrade to KB3093594, but now for the last several days Live Mail can't send or receive ANY emails from Any of my accounts; all I get are my feeds.

Looking on Google, there are many, many people with all kinds of different problems with Live Mail that they are trying to resolve themselves, with little success.

What is going on?!! Why did Microsoft issue this to SOLVE a problem when all it does is cause all kinds of new ones?

I refuse to use the Mail App that comes in 8.1 since it can't do squat when it comes to me keeping a copy of my emails on my home computer and forces me to log in to Microsoft which I am not going to do!

Some have found that Live Mail still works without the update, but needs a reinstall of Live Mail 2012 to make it work. I don't want to have to re-set up 5 different email accounts and the hundreds and hundreds of feeds that I have set, all over again, just because Microsoft can't get it right and make this work like it's suppose to.

Any suggestions??

I can receive messages but  I cannot see the sent messages.

Settings are:  incoming : imap.gmail.com

                      out going: smtp.gmail.com

Under advanced outgoing mail is set at 465 (smtp)

incoming mail is set at 993 (IMap)

SSL is checked when asked.

Any ideas  which might be causing this problem?

I have been using Windows Live Mail 2012 in Windows 10, with a Hotmail.com account.  The latest update to WLM2012 has sunk the ship for me as far as that e-mail client goes.  I have updated, re-installed, tried the various solutions proffered in this forum, including adding the account in IMAP format.  It simply does not work like it has in the past.

I would like to export the contents of all local storage folders from WLM2012.  I have Office365 on the machine so would like to start anew with this account using Outlook2016, and import those locally stored messages.  However, when I try to export the messages from my WLM local storage folders, the program crashes.  Furthermore, when I follow directions found in this forum to first "work offline", then initiate the export, the program switches back to "work online" as soon as I start the export.  I have tried exporting all messages rather than just selected folders, and even tried disabling my network adapter so I am truly working offline, but once the export process moves from the cloud-based folders to the local storage folders, WLM2012 crashes.

Fortunately, I have saved a copy of the local storage folders in another location.  Also, I have re-set the e-mail app preference on the machine to Outlook.  When I open a message in the copied folder, Outlook opens it and shows the message correctly.  However, for the life of me I cannot find a way to import the messages in those folders into Outlook.

Plus, now when I go back to attempt to open a message in a storage folder in WLM2012, it says the content of the message is not available.

Can someone please provide specific guidance on exporting messages in the WLM2012 local storage folders from WLM2012 into Outlook2016?

I have read most all of the other peoples problem and I do not understand what I need to do, tried to get help on the phone, I have one account hve had it for many years, I currently get the E-mail on my I pad but not on my laptop can I leave it that way until the new system or what do I do? Please help me. Thanks.

I asked the question and you did not answer it when you replied on Decmeber 25, so I asked it again, and I have not heard anything.

As of now, my choices seem to be:  lose ability to use WLive 2012 when you upgrade Outlook.Com, or install a patch that makes the Sent "TO" info useless, since the "TO" of all mail sent while your patch is installed is shown as the name of the Sender--not the recipient, so it looks like all email that I send is sent to MYSELF!

Shall I expect that you will issue a future patch that will work correctly with Wlive 2012 on Win7? Or shall I start shopping for a new email service?

Will you please answer the question?

Thank you.
