Hi folks!  Happy Holidays!

I have set up a client side rule to set a category if a message is sent only to me.  When this condition exists, I set the category to "Only To Me".  The rule works just fine except when someone sends a message with an attachment.  If this case, I can watch the message briefly get set correctly to "Only To Me" but then it immediately clears.

Any ideas?

I'm running Outlook for MAC 2011 - version 14.5.9 on a MacBook Air running Yosemite 10.10.5.  This is the only rule I have set.  There are no server side rules.

I have a BT Internet account and have had no problem sending and receiving email on my PC using Windows Mail (NOT WINDOWS LIVE MAIL) until 22 December. My settings were Outgoing SMTP 25 SSL not enabled. Incoming POP3 110 SSL not enabled. I spoke with BT who said change settings to Outgoing SMTP 465 SSL enabled and Incoming POP3 995 SSL enabled.

With original settings my error messages are.............

For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. How do I get the Slideshow in Windows 10 Photo Gallery to display full screen?
Read about how Live Mail is going to be phased out in the not too distant future.  My computer club co-members are wondering since this is going to be the end of Live Mail, are Photo Gallery and Moviemaker headed for the chopping block also?

First, how do I know when I receive an answer?  I am not tech savvy--pleas respond in layman's terms.

First, what is the difference between Outlook in Office and Outlook Hotmail, which I have?

Second, I have a Mac, OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).  Yesterday, Apple restored my OS.  I can access my contacts through Safari, but they are blank with Firefox.

Also, a big yellow O appeared on my dock, to upgrade the Office database, which I would prefrer not to do now.  There was also something about rebuilding Outlook, which sounds like a complicated maze and a lengthy process.  Do I really need to do this--what happens if I don't?

When I try to open an email in one of my storage folders I get the message that a problem occurred and try again later.  This has been like this for the last six days.  How do I fix this?

I have recently had problems opening new emails or replying to or forwarding received emails.  This has arisen after I moved to Windows 10.

When I try to open a New Email I receive the following message:

"A problem occurred while trying to open this message.

A problem has occurred. Please try again"

When replying to or forwarding messages I receive the following message after clicking OK:

"An error occurred replying to or forwarding this message".

I have uninstalled Windows Essentials several times, but the problem remains.

I am using Macbook pro with latest Elcapitan OS. and Microsoft office for Mac 2011, outlook version 14.5.9 (151119) for mails.

Other non mac users also use outlook for email exchange (windows based OS users)

My font settings in outlook are : Calibre 16 for both in HTML message (proportional) and plain text messages (fixed with).

Other preferences used are "while replying or forwarding use format of original message"

My question is "while sending the mails from outlook to other non mac users with microsoft windows based, few users receive emails with font size less than 6 size". we have checked their mail setting for font etc. and found similar to other users. However they receive mails in very small font from me"

pl. help to resolve this issue

Hi,

I recently updated to windows 10, and have installed windows essentials 2012. However, when I go to use it, my login request is just declined and a text box appears saying "sorry there was a problem signing in". I have checked my login details, and they work on my Hotmail account, but just not on windows essentials. I am specifically trying to use movie maker.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I replaced the Hard drive with a ssd. I used Acronis True Image to clone the hard drive on my HP pavilion dv7t laptop.

There is nothing wrong with my old drive accept it is slow compared to the ssd.

The system boots and seems to work accept when I try to start Windows Live Mail I get the error about corrupted calendar

and Windows live mail must exit. Then I get a window that says windows live mail was installed incorrectly or you are out of memory.

I tried another account on the system that never would of used Windows live mail and it fails the same.

I created a new account and it also fails the same way.

I removed windows live mail 2011 and installed 2012. I did the repair and it says all is clean but I still get the same error on old and new test account.

The only other symptom that is different is when I log into secure accounts that want to verify this laptop, I get a message you have never logged in from this source and they send a text to verify.

I put the old hard drive back in the system and windows live mail runs ok and secure sites recognize this laptop like normal.

I did the clone instead of a backup and restore because and issue with the HP Pavilion and ssd drive was not recognized

during boot.

It is like I have a different system and maybe something is up with licensing with the ssd drive instead of old drive.
