Hello,

I keep getting an error on Movie Maker for whenever I try to save and create my video. It says "There are missing or unusable files in your Movie Maker project that are preventing your movie from being saved. Please check that file preparation is enabled in Options, or remove the files and try again, error: 0x8000FFFF."

Here is a list of things you may want to know.

Operating System - Windows 10 HOME 64-bit

First Occurance of the Problem - Today (3/01/16)

Additional Notes - I did not change any setting prior to the error occuring. I have not tried to save a movie with another project. The program won't tell me which files are causing the problem.

If anyone can help, or direct me to anyone that can, please type the response in the comments as soon as you can.

Thanks guys,

I have windows 7 mlmm.  I was able to save my project once but found mistakes and went back in to fix captions and I have been unable to save since.  I have 118 scanned photo album pages that I am transitioning, with a title, captioning, music to the time line and credits.  I have repaired Microsoft Essentials as recommended by Microsoft.  I have saved and produced the pictures and have saved and produced the music line each individually.

I tried saving the project as an e-mail quality and it stopped saving at 17%.  This is the same place it froze when saving the project for computer quality.  I split the project and tried saving and it froze at 26%.  I have a dell Inspiron All in One computer with 4 gb ram.  I have updated all the drivers for 7.  I am guessing it is a corrupted file maybe but how do you find that file.

Help.

ps Could the problem be in the captions and titles?  Any help would be greatly appreciated and time is of the essence.
