I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from 7, and I am having difficulty with Windows Live Mail 2012 that I didn't have previously before upgrading my OS.

Basically, Windows Live Mail 2012 reports that new emails have been received, and they initially show up in the Inbox as it is supposed to do. However, if one tries to view the email and clicks on it, it suddenly disappears and cannot be found.

I've tried adjusting view, though I'm unsure on how to do this. I've also contacted my ISP (this is not a Windows Live account, I believe it's an IMAP server) and they have tried to help me but have been unsuccessful. They also say that it's nothing on their end.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling as well, and it doesn't work. Also, the messages don't appear in the actual web client either, so I'm guessing that it has something to do with Windows Live Mail as the messages are being forwarded.

Thank you, I hope this is enough information to go on.

Hello, I'm using office for mac 2011 on a macbook air running OSX El Capitan 10.11.2

For some reason, I'm being told that the security settings are not suitable to run my gmail account through it. I'm trying to remove my gmail account but when I go to preferences> accounts or tools> accounts I can't select the account to delete it and then outlook crashes.

I'd just like to delete the account as I'm mostly using hotmail for now and am tired of being asked for my gmail password every 5 seconds and outlook keeping crashing.

Can anyone help?

This issue just began this morning.  I can send email in my windows live mail program but I cannot receive.  It shows that it is checking email and then "no new email messages".  No error messages, either.  If I sign onto my email account online, there are my emails waiting for me.  I can send a test message to myself but it never arrives.  I can log on immediately and retrieve it on the login.live website.  This is a brand new issue and very perplexing.  All my settings appear correct and unchanged.  And Windows Essentials repair utility does not help.  Any suggestions?

I'm using Movie Maker to make a documentary. I save my work on a flash drive.  I add all of the pictures on to it and it works fine as long as I only use it on the computer I edited it on. However, when I save it and move the flash drive to a new computer, it displays the dreaded yellow triangles with explanation points in the middle instead of the images. It has the option of "Finding the images" where I have to search through the flash drive for the pictures, so I do, but then it will only work on THAT computer and not the original. I really don't feel like having to search for the pictures every single time I need to edit or present. How do I fix this issue?

My email is stuck sending 2 messages - executing

In attempting to send pictures I made the pictures too big so now it wont send giving this message.

This message could not be sent because its size exceeded the server's limit. You can use the option, located in Tools | Accounts | Properties | Advanced, to break messages into smaller parts.

Subject ''
Server Error: 552
Server Response: 552 5.3.4 Error: message file too big
Server: 'smtp.aim.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC6D
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): Yes

I can't find the original message to delete it so it stays somewhere in Microsoft mail and tries to resend it every time I use it and, as before, it fails.  HELP.

Help! Using Live email and receiving emails OK but have problems sending emails.

My mail server requires Authentication for the Outgoing Server and the SMPT port set to 26.

I can go into the email account properties, tick the "Requires Authentication" box under the Servers tab, and set the SMTP Port to 26 under the Advanced Tab, then Apply and OK the changes. I can then send Emails successfully.

However if I close the Live program and restart it, the "Requires Authentication" box is now "un-ticked" and the SMTP Port has reverted to Port 25. Now I can't send emails until I change the settings again.

As you can imagine, very frustrating! Why won't the Changes SAVE?

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks
