I received the email back in December 2015 regarding the upcoming changes in regard to using the Windows Live Mail email program.  I am one of those persons who discovered that I am still using Windows Mail 2011 rather than the 2012.

I would like to continue using this program to organize my emails since it allows the creation of many categories of folders and sub-folders to file incoming and outgoing emails.

I have found a couple of relevant help postings but they don't answer all of my questions for my situation.  I am not very computer savvy so I am in need of quite simple instructions to accomplish the task that is required.

If I download and install Windows Essentials 2012, will the Windows Live Mail 2012 just install over top of the existing Mail 2011 retaining all of my email category folders that are in place in the program now?   If not, what exactly do I have to do to be able to retain my filing system within the program as I transition from one version to the other?

To further complicate things, I will also be moving from a Windows 7 computer to a Windows 8.1 computer shortly (as well as upgrading the 8.1 to the free Windows 10 upgrade once I get everything all sorted out).    From some of the information I have found on the Microsoft website, it seems that the Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 mail apps may not be a suitable option for my purposes.  (My internet provider uses POP for email.)  Will I be able to use Windows Live Mail 2012 with Windows 10?

Might there be some better alternatives for email management?  Any help with these questions would be most appreciated.

After installing Windows 10 and deciding to remove and go back to windows 7 I found Windows Live Mail opened with 'Windows Live Mail did not shutdown correctly' . All personal email folders have disappeared (with two years of emails) and while new emails are received, Live Mail goes into Not responding mode and I can't do anything with it but end the process.

I am trying to edit some videos from my I phone using movie maker and I converted the files to .wmv.  They play fine in Windows Media Player and I have tried to upload them to my hard drive then open the files in Movie Maker and I am still getting an error.  Can someone help?

I have created a photo movie using Win 10 and stored it under folder Videos. However, when I open Window Media Player and click on the folder Videos, this photo movie does not show up like other photo movies I created under Win 7. Any reasons? Because the Win 10 photo movie does not show up among the list, I can't drag that item to the left of the Windows Media Player for burning. I copy the Win 10  photo movie and try to paste it to the Windows Media Player. It did not work either. I would very much appreciate it if any one can help me out. Is there any other ways to burn Win 10 photo movie into disc without using Windows Media Player?

(Windows 10 Ultimate 64 bit)

After time editing videos the clips I have seem to just magically corrupt for no reason. I don't think I have done anything to make this happen but I just get to a point and they all just blank with the yellow '!' triangle and say: Do you want to remove [Name] From the project? This might not be recognised as a format (it is) The movie cant be published until [name] is removed.

Error 0x87260103

I find this very annoying as I then have to start again and I depend on this software for making videos.

Any help appreciated.
