I've just started using Live Mail and I don't have a 'deleted' folder, neither can I create any other folder for archiving purposes. When I try to make a new folder all I get is 'Your folder could not be created: the IMAP server refused to create it'. All I want to do is save stuff! Outlook Express seemed to do it OK.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

I have 3 IMAP accounts seed up on my outlook and normally its shoved all account inboxes (sent mails and deleted mails as well) under INBOX:

But couple days ago its stopped to show them after i am pressing send/Receive button.

Its shoving only one account ( and it is not primary account).

If i quit outlook and start it again its again shows all accounts, but as soon i press send/Receive it don't again.

How to fix it?

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (yaoyu6) account.

Server Error: 0x80004005
Server: 'https://m.hotmail.com/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80004005

i could retrive messages from other email account, but hotmail account. Need some help.

Thanks.

When I send emails with many bcc's using windows live mail 2012 on 8.1 it just sits in the outbox.  Sometimes I may get on error on an address and I will delete the offending address and resend but it still does the same.  Can anyone help me?

I am having a very puzzling problem in trying to export WLM messages from a Windows 7 system and import them into a new Windows 10 computer.   I am going WLM 2012 to WLM 2012.

I initially was trying to export to a Flash drive and then import the files into the Windows 10 computer.  Took about 10 seconds each way - so I suspected it didn't work, and it didn't.  Then I read on this forum about Exporting not working very well (if at all) when going to a Flash drive and the suggestion was to Export to a local folder/file and then copy that folder to the Flash drive.

Well, that was good advice because the Export now appeared to be working and a total of 19,018 files were exported (yes, it took a lot longer this time).  The email is my wife's and of the 19,018 files, 9,908 are in her Inbox (another story).

Anyway, the next step was to copy the Export folder to my Flash drive -- everything OK, so far.  The problem comes in after roughly 18,600 of the files have been transferred to the Flash and then all of the sudden, the transfer speed slows down to about 15 bytes per second (yes, that is right, "bytes per second") and it goes downhill from there.  And the time left to finish transferring the files jumps to 13 hours.  Folder/file size is about 3.47GB.

So what is going on.  Anybody have a clue as to what is happing to cause this abrupt change, where the transfer speed essentially goes to zero .  I think some of the files being transferred were .eml files.

(I can't figure out WHY Microsoft makes it SO DIFFICULT to move email files.)

(P.S.  I am trying the cloud now, but the upload / download sync is nothing to brag about either -- and I found out through trial and error that it is almost impossible to tell when that is complete, i.e. when the files are finally synced, but that may be just that I am new to the cloud and don't understand all of the sync business yet.)

Windows Live Mail works fine on initial opening in 10, but if I close it down after I use it and reopen later, nothing happens. The little whirly think signifying loading spins for about 5 seconds then stops.  Tried right clicking on icon and opening it there, same thing.  Only way, so far is to reboot 10.  Fresh install of 10 this morning overtop of 7.

Not too many issues so far though.  Still got some drivers to go through etc.
