Why can't I add/edit contacts to Windows Live Mail when trying to save I get a message,  'The contact information could not be saved. Check contact information and try again.' ?

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10.

When I try to attach a file to an email, or delete an attachment from a forwarded email, the Live Mail application hangs and does not resume after several minutes.  I have to close down Live Mail through Task Manager.

Please could you give me some assistance.  Many thanks, Olly.

When I right click on a PDF attachment, the box turns blue color, but the "Open" option on the menu is not bolded and I cannot open the file. I changed the security settings that have been mentioned by others, but the problem still exists.  The only way I can get the file is to save it somewhere, then I can open and view it, but this is time consuming and requires additional steps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to get WLM (v. 2012) in the Restored mode to fill the screen upon a system startup? As it is now I have to wait until the program will let me drag the top/bottom borders, and then make the fix manually.

So I just did a C-Drive wipe, and a complete re-install of Windows 7 Home Premium. I've updated everything... Windows Updates, Dell Driver Updates, All Security Updates, and including Windows Essentials 2012. I also set up ( re-established ) my email account in Windows Live Mail. The UI looks newer, but I'm able to send and receive emails just fine. Here's the MAJOR problem...

The button in the top-left corner ( immediately left of the HOME button ) which is used to access options, Import / Export, etc. is not LIVE!? Everything else "seems" to be fine, but that one button is "un-clickable".  This is VITAL because I have hundreds of stored emails and an extensive address book stored on my external drive, but no way to import either.

Some time ago I changed the WLM storage folder location to the external drive "just in case".  I've uninstalled WLM twice, no result. I've deleted my email account, uninstalled Essentials 2012 completely, then went through the download process again, including setting up my email account again. Still, the button is not LIVE and won't allow me to Import anything because the drop-down window isn't available?

I've even re-installed Windows 7 a second time. Everything goes fine accept that one button. I wouldn't mind switching to an online email, but those .eml & .wab files on my external drive are just sitting there, and very much needed!

Does ANYONE have a clue?

Thank You!

Tom

Why does Live send unopened emails straight to the Deleted folder?  Some of these emails should be in my inbox, like order invoices and such.  But instead of getting the them in my inbox they are sent straight to Deleted.  I understand about the junk mail filters, but shouldn't these be sent to Junk Mail instead of Deleted?

Newbie to Windows 10. I have two e-mail accounts that I linked together. One opens just fine, the

other has content but, it won't open the account ? I can access the account from another computer, but I'd rather use Windows 10.

Periodically and quite randomly, my Outlook for Mac re-populates my Inbox with messages that I have already received. Sometimes it is just five or ten messages, other times it is 40 - 50 messages. Very time consuming to review all before deleting to assure a NEW message is not hidden in the midst!! Aaaarrrrggghh!

Using Windows 7, graphics card upgraded with current version and all requirements met I have tried all recommendations made in each of the blogs and I still get the message:  Movie Maker will not start.  It worked previously but then stopped when I downloaded Essentials 2012, thinking I did not have the current version, when I did.  I downloaded the patch (KB2741355) and it still did not work.  One of the blogs indicated the patch did not fix the problem and the is apparent. Since it worked previously I know the graphics card cannot be the problem.  Is there anything else I can do to get Movie Maker to work?
Whilst getting rid of annoying Microsoft Internet Messenger in Windows Essentials 2012 I learned that it is now apparently replaced by Skype.  Unfortunately I have also got rid of all my emails which were on Windows Live 2012 Mail.  How can I get these back?  Everything I look at fails to address the issue or make sense to me.
