What does this mean when mail is returned and not received?

The last thing I can remember doing is emptying the 4,000+ messages in my trash folder. The Mac beachball started spinning. Now I can send Email but incoming will not download. I've checked for updates, quit and relaunched, tried a handful of other things,
and the "updating message list" bar in the lower right-hand corner of the main window is just hanging there. I can download on my iPhone, my husband isn't having any trouble. Any ideas, or should I just contact Microsoft support?

Story Board Doesn't Show All Elements Of Video For Editing Saved File.
Please see screen shot, the preview video shows fine but the story board shows all the same pictures from the first frame. None of the separate screens / videos / audios show for editing.
