In my win 7 version of Windows Live Mail (WLM - not sure of version number), there was a folder above my inbox (possibly in Accounts folder) that contained a list of all new mail.

This folder is missing in my new Win 10 WLM 2012 installation. I now need to look in all sub-folders distributed throughout my inbox to find new mail.

Quick views don't seem to contain any options to turn this feature on. Can anyone please help? Is this feature missing in WLM 2012?

1. I installed Windows Live Mail on my pc.

2. I had some contacts on drive saved from a phone from a friend when i tried to fix it.

3. When the WLM synced all the contacts from pc now appear in my windows phone.

Now I want to erase all these contacts not one by one (over 800 contacts) but all together if is possible.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi, New to MM. Using 600+ pics from my GoPro to make a time lapse video. All good so far, but the file names on the jpgs are visible, and I can't remove them together. Can do individually, but 600 will take me forever - any advice?

Thanks Simon

I have WMM 6.0 and WMML 2011.

I can load onto my PC mp4 video and it plays great on Media player.

However, when I try to edit it on WMM it says it needs a codec for it and refuses to load the video.

When I try to load it on WMML all i get is a 7 sec black screen out of a 1.2gb video file.

Does anyone have a clue how to make WMM/L work?

Or do I just need to buy a real program that does what its supposed to do instead of having a program with a 55gallon drum of excuses to why it doesn't work.

I 've had way to much frustration trying edit a 5min video for the last two days then its worth.

Thank you all for your time.

I just upgraded laptops and imported all of my email messages in Windows Live Mail 2012 running Windows 10 to Windows Live Mail 2012 also running Windows 10.

I went to save an attachment and I got this error:  "There was an error saving one or more of the attachments. Please check your free disk space and try again" - which is impossible because I have a 2TB hard drive with more than half of that free.

Of course I read all the forum on this topic which originated as far back as 2009 apparently, and found no solution, but managed to fix it on my own.

Make sure that the PROPERTIES of the destination location (in my case C:Temp) is not flagged as "Read Only" so that you can actually save it through this email client (WLM 2012).

I don't understand why this happened as I created said folder as an Administrator in both environments (laptops), but it seems that the old machine which had migrated from Windows 8 to Windows 10 kept its original "properties", but for some reason on a clean Windows 10 machine, even though it allows you to create the folder and copy to and from it it via File Explorer no problem, in WLM 2012 infinite wisdom decided to not allow Windows Live Mail 2012 attachments to save, and with a misleading error message on top of that.  Thoughless, but true.

Ccleaner did not work as suggested, nor patches, much less updates made any dif either.

One hopes that this thread will save hours of digging around for no answers on the net for this issue, until today's posting.

I simply don't understand why there are so many layers of this stuff, which while I understand is built for security, one should not have to lose their hair and bite their nails off to find such a simple answer.

Also, the Email topic pull down in the forum discussion should also have an added discussion field for "Attachments," or "saving attachments" - or something like that - it would be more relevant too.

A better clue in the error message in the first place would have been nice, but God forbid that simplicity be built into anything these days.

This just started happening this morning. It gives me a error message: "A problem occurred while trying to open this message." when I try to start a new email. I have looked at my server and advanced settings for outgoing emails. I am using port 587. Last night I tried to send a mail with some pictures attached and it went into my outbox and then it said I couldnt send it. This morning I just deleted it from outbox (I thought) and the problem started. Its like its still in outbox but there is nothing there! I have done a restart and still no way too send emails.

I am using SHAW.CA as my server email.  Running Windows 7 and Live Mail. Please help!?

Hey all.

Recently I found out that some feed messages in my Windows Live Mail is disappearing. Just to clarify, this is happening only with feed messages. The e-mail messages are all working fine.

I'm aware of the 'Keep just the most recente items' option in the RSS feed config, I've double checked and it's setup as 'Keep all items'

The problem is not constant and I didn't find a pattern that I could describle, but I saw this happening three to four times this week.

I'm not sure about this, but I think this may have nothing to do with WLM itself, but with Internet Explorer. Because It looks like the feed messages disappear when I ask to update the feeds. However, I also saw the feeds going away sometime after a search I did.

I've checked the article of the feeds and they're still online.

Somebody help me.
