mail not downloading

My mail in windows 7 is not downloading half of the time. I'm checked with my server. All is correct in accts. After trying to download for a long time time I get this message. Unable to send or receive messages for the Frontiernet (cherie) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

This started about 3 days ago. My server checked everything they could and say it's a Live Mail problem. They've had several calls on it.    Help please.

*** I JUST started getting this message yesterday 4/25/16.  I have not changed ANYTHING and now I cannot send any emails from WLM.  Please help because I am at my wits end with this!!!

Best way to configure an Outlook.com account in Windows Live Mail

I have been experimenting with Windows Live Mail in order to have a complete back up of my entire outlook.com email folders (including Sent, Inbox and Deleted folders ) and also in order to read and compose my email offline sometimes.

I tried to use an approach that involved me synchronizing with a server on https. I think it was a "hotmail" option that was offered when I set up the account in Windows Live Mail. It started to synchronize  the existing folders successfully and I was able to receive and send a couple of emails but then I encountered this error.

"Unable to send or receive messages for [ ] account
Server Error 4201
Server https://mail.services.com/DataSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx
Windows Live Mail Error ID 0x8DE00002"

I think I will go back and try to re-configure the email account in Windows Live Mail by specifying IMAP and smtp servers since (a) I don't really understand what that https option was doing and (b) in the end I got that error anyway.

I understand also that at some point Microsoft may be moving my outlook.com to another server like maybe an exchange server?

Given the information above, does anyone have advice on the best way to configure Windows Live Mail for an Outlook.com account?

I can log in using my Username and PW to Youtube directly through IE, but when I try to upload a video using Movie Maker, it keeps saying "Invalid username or password"???

Hi Guys

can anyone help please? Sending mail from windows Hotmail but they are not showing in my sent folder so I don't know if they've actually gone, also mail is coming to my phone but not showing in the in box on my PC?

Categories disappearing from Outlook inbox at random

I use an intricate category system for keeping my inbox organized, but every so often, I will open Outlook and all my category assignments will be gone from the messages I categorized. The categories themselves still exist in my "Edit Categories" window, but they no longer are attached to any of my e-mails. This has happened numerous times since I began using Outlook from Office 2011, and there is no rhyme or reason to what happens, and I can't seem to get them back so I always have to go through and redo all the categorization.

If someone would please advise, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

My emails in my inbox seem to be disappearing after a couple of weeks, even though I have not deleted them.  Can anyone help me with this ?  I went into settings and cannot find anywhere to change the length of time they are kept.

E-mails being received days later than sent

Some of my incoming e-mails are not being received by me until 1-4 days after they were sent. Why is this happening and how can I fix it? Why is it taking days for me to receive e-mail????
