Original Title: Tons Of Junk

Receiving tons of junk mail even at high privacy setting using windows live mail 2012. Can't divert all using 'safe senders only' as I get new senders all the time. Is there anything I can do? What good is paying for premium storage when you can't get past the junk that should be stopped at the server!!!!

What if we download Windows Essentials 2016?  Would that include Windows Live Mail, with all the features that we enjoy with Windows Live Mail 2012?  Or would it look just like Microsoft Outlook?  Or would it only be compatible with Windows 10?

If someone could show me what Windows Essentials 2016 looks like, and tell me whether or not it's compatible with Windows 7, without me having to download it to find out, that would be immensely helpful.

I'm not okay with this change.  I don't want to access my email through a browser, and I really don't want to have to go from page to page to look at all my emails.  I like my email as it is, thank you very much, and I need some advice for what I can do to keep it that way.  Don't tell me to access my email through a browser.  That is NOT an adequate solution.  This change is NOT OKAY.

The last time I checked, the United States was supposedly still a first world country, with a free market, which means that business are supposed to give the customers what they want and need, not the other way around.  So why does Microsoft think it's okay for them to tell us what we're supposed to want?  Obviously they need some more competition.  They've had a virtual monopoly on the computer industry (at least where laptops and desktops are concerned) for too long, and it's going to their head.  Someone needs to come along and put them in their place.  They've become too arrogant and need to be taken down a notch or two.

Hello all,

My predicament is quite peculiar in its nature, and I haven't found a thread dedicated to something like this, so I decided to post here. My Windows programs like Word Doc, Movie Maker (even the previous version), and Paint all tell me that my files are corrupt when I try to make a new file and save it. They are all alike, saying things such as, "Your save was corrupted," or for Movie Maker, "a new set of empty files have been made" since my saves were corrupted.

I can open projects or documents just fine (I have not tried to edit them as of yet for fear of losing anything) but if I try making a new file and title it after "Save as," they all tell me it's corrupt in some way or it simply cannot be saved. I tried going into the control panel, and using Windows Essential repair tools, but to no avail had it fixed anything. I freed up space in both my drives, managing to get more than half of it available, but still, I could not find the root of the problem. I am unsure if there is a virus or something missing on my end, but I sincerely hope it is the latter.

Thank you for your time,

Mylene

Original Title: WLM 2012 Contact replacement.

With the imminent loss of Outlook.com access via WLM 2012, will this also mean that the Contacts listing will be lost? I use WLM for two other email addresses so the Contacts listing is important.

Alternatively, can I delete this list from WLM only, leaving it unchanged and in place on my Outlook.com account which I can manage from the W10 Mail app and from the web. I could then install a simple email address book for use in my other WLM controlled accounts.

Note: I would happily change all my accounts to the W10 Mail app but it has one serious deficiency ... no multiple Storage Folder possibilities. Is this going to be a feature?

I wanted to tell Microsoft that you're making staying a user of hotmail or outlook email more difficult AGAIN!

Isn't it amazing that GMAIL  and other email services try and keep you as a user and don't constantly change their services to herd you into some other software suite.

I have to say I hate Windows Mail.  It's poorly designed.

Why can't Microsoft release a free email program that's a trimmed down version of Outlook?  I remember having both full versions of Outlook in Microsoft Office and Outlook Express and I tended to use Outlook Express because it was so much simpler and GOT THE JOB DONE!

I know your programmers worked really hard on Windows Mail.  But I'm sorry guys...it sucks!

Unable to add contacts. When I hover on the people icon it states " favourites".

If I click on it says synchronising favourites..... goes on forever, but nothing happens, no contacts to add comes up.

Can anyone help please?
