This started today.  Stupid mail that used to go into my junk folder now comes in regular mail.  When I go to open it or delete it, i get the following message from windows....

Message could not be displayed

Windows Live Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

Windows Live Mail

Also, to the right of the mail description, there is a paper clip which seems to be indicating an attachment.  I believe this has something to do with the problem.

With this mail, well, I have had 17 so far and counting, I cannot delete it, move it read it,  The mail will not move from my inbox period.

I have plenty of memory and disk space.  That is not the issue.

What I can do is log on to Outlook and go to my mail there and delete them.  Then I go back to my Live mail and the culprits are gone.  However in 5 or 10 minutes, another uneditable mail will arrive and have to go through the Outlook delete process again.

Also, my Live mail on my phone is fine.  And I made no changes to my system and I have Windows Defender running always and it has not alerted me to anything.

Any Ideas?

Steve

Problem with Windows Photo Gallery- Original Title

I am unable to import all of my photos from my iPad mini to computer using Windows Gallery.  It used to work perfectly when I was using Windows 7.  I don't know what is wrong with it now that my version is Windows 10.  I have 9128 photos in my camera roll on my iPad mini.  When I try using "import" in Photo Gallery, it won't import all of them like it used too.  The first time it only imported 2551.  I called Apple and asked them what to do and the tech had me try importing again.  This time it imported 4514, still leaving 2063 photos still left on my iPad that have not been imported.  I did not check erase after importing because I didn't want to lose any of them.  The second time I went to import my photos, it started right with the jpg number it left off at and then imported until the error occurred again.  If I do it a third time importing the last 2063, I don't see how I am going to remove the original 9128 from my iPad once I am done.  It will take forever to delete them manually.  Photo Gallery won't recognize there are anymore left to be imported once I import the final 2063, thus I won't be able to import them again so that I can checkmark the erase when finished importing.

Please help me.  There is a problem with my Photo Gallery that needs to be fixed.  I don't want to call and spend a lot of money talking to a tech on the phone,  just to figure out what causing this malfunction.

I am using Windows Live Mail 2011 and have recently upgraded to Windows 10.  I use AVG.

Up until last week I had no problem sending and receiving e-mails with Windows Live Mail 2011.  On Wednesday 25/5 or Thursday 26/5 I stared having problems as the program would receive but not send e-mails.  The settings are exactly the same as they were when I first set up Windows Live Mail in 2011 or 2012.  The message I get is  "Your SMTP server has not responded in 60 seconds.  Would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond?"  Then I get a choice of Wait or Stop.  If I click on Stop it will stop trying to send e-mails and go on to receive e-mails (which It appears to do correctly).

I have checked with my provider who tells me that there is no problem with my account (as I am able to access the webmail and send and receive e-mails from there) and that the problem appears to be with Windows Live Mail 2011.

I have gone as far as to disable my Internet Security to check whether an update to AVG may have been causing a conflict, but it makes no difference.

If it helps I also get the following:

Subject "

Server Error: 421

Server Response: 421 4.7.0 mta1.gibtelecom.net closing connection

Server: 'mail.gibtelecom.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC67

Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25

Secure(SSL): Yes

Can anybody help?  Thanks.

As said, there seems to be no way to get the inbox list from chaos to chronological order, most recent first.  No doubt it will magically sort itself somehow but it would be good to know for future occasions when my pc lives its own life safe in the knowledge that WLM will do nothing to assist those who aren't entirely computer literate and speak normal language. Yes frustration's the name of the game! Much appreciated if someone can simplify what's needed.   CB

Moved from Windows 7

Original title: Inbox wanted in chronological order  (+ why can't WLM provide a simple answer ??!!*$??)

Original Title: Cannot recover my WindowsLive email, because it says: "We don't recognize this one.".

Hi,

I recently came across a huge issue. I have a WindowsLive account that I used to use for all profiles that I used to create online on various websites. I am currently trying to delete some of those profiles, but I don't remember most of the passwords. And I cannot retrieve or change them, since everything goes to that email. I downloaded Windows Essentials so I can login to my account and when I try to recover it, it says: "Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognize this one." I am 100% sure that account is correct, just that I have not been using it for a while. It would be great if someone could help me out here. Thanks!

P.S. I tried sending an email to that account and I got the Delivery Status Notification saying that delivery has failed. Is it possible that Microsoft deleted my account? If so, is it possible to somehow get to the bottom of this and retrieve the account?

I'm receiving various error with Windows live mail when trying to open/view/delete emails that contain attachments.  They just started happening today.  I'm running windows 8.1.  I tried uninstalling and re-installing Windows Live Mail but that didn't work.   Sometimes it says "There was an error decoding this message.  The message header contains invalid data".

Thanks,

Bob
