Question about Outlook Express

This is the second time I`ve got this email which in part says "It appears that you are currently using the Windows Live Mail 2012 application to connect to your Out‍look‍.‍com account. The Windows Live Mail 2012 application does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outl‍ook‍.‍com. When account upgrades begin at the end of June, you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your Out‍look‍.‍com account in the Windows Live Mail 2012 application." after the " Reminder: Action required for users of the Windows Live Mail 2012 application" headline. 

I have to admit I`m weary of the Email and the last time I asked my Tech and he said delete it.  Do I have to do something about my Outlook Emails?  I`m sorry but I really dont understand all of this and the family live at the other end of Aust to me now.  I`m using Windows 7 having upgraded from XP after finishing chemo about 18 months ago and don`t wish to upgrade again.

It doesn`t take a lot to confuse me now but I do try and keep up with things if at all possible but this has me stumped and yes I am a senior! 

Regarding message rules, I have viewed the other complaints about the rules being set up and disappearing the next time the Mail program is open. My experience is that there seems to be a limit to the number of rules allowed. For me it is eight. Any rule created after the first eight will be lost after closing the mail program. I did not have this issue with the 2011 version.

Is this limit placed on message rules in the 2012 version, intentional? I am using Win 7 Home, 64 bit.

I have windows 10 and running WLM 2012. my email is a hotmail.ca and has NOT been upgraded to the new Outlook preview.

I have 2 email account on the hotmail.ca domain. One account has stopped syncing the calendar the other account still syncs.

The account that does not sync I still get emails and the contacts still sync just the calendar does not. Using the calendar app in win 10 does sync.. I have tried the following

• I repaired the WLM installation
• Created a new user local user account and ran WLM and setup the same email account - still did not work - This was to see if any data in the AppData was corrupt
  
• Deleted my email account in WLM and re-added still does not work

I then turned on the calendar debug logs and I see a difference in the logs between the account that does not work and the one that does. Below are the logs. As you can see the account works does a HTTP get but the account that does not work does not. It is odd that the contacts still sync

Hey folks, so I've seen a ton of questions about how to reduce video file size in Movie Maker, but I'm actually facing the opposite problem: I want the highest quality output possible when exporting/saving a video, and I can't seem to get that to work.

So, for example, I have a 4 minute video capture (use OBS) that was recorded at 720p60fps.  I use the custom settings in Movie Maker when saving the video (settings: 1080x720p/20-100k bitrate*/60fps) and the estimated size per minute is something like (with high bitrate settings) say 700mb a minute, but when i save and it finishes the file size, which for a 4 minute vid should be in the ballpark of 3GB, is only 400~MB and the video quality sucks. I just want to know how to keep that estimated file size per minute because I'd rather have higher quality video that takes longer to upload to youtube than lower quality/faster upload. 

*meaning I've tried various bitrates within those parameters to no success.

I can't login in to Windows Live Mail 2012 as instructed to retrieve and export contacts into Windows 10 Mail.

There's a "Windows Live Mail has stopped working" message, and the program won't open.

My device situation is odd and there is nothing I can do about it.

Machine #1 has an internet connection but I do not own or control machine #1.  I am merely permitted the use of it.  I was able to download the Essential's wlsetup-web.exe file from the Microsoft website onto a USB drive using machine #1.  I then moved the file from the USB drive to machine #2.  Machine #2 has my activated copy of Windows 8 but it does not have an internet connection (and it must not have one--there is a reason for that).  When I attempt to install Essentials I get the obvious error message that I need an internet connection.  What can I do?

I was able over the phone to activate Windows 8 on machine #2 since it involves just receiving a number and using that to unlock files already present on my hard drive within the OS.  I suspect with Essentials the situation is different, that wlsetup-web.exe does not contain the files, that it initializes a process to copy and then install more files--fine.  Is there any other way to legally obtain the files, to get them onto a machine which itself does not have an internet connection?  E.g. can I temporarily not copy but actually install Essentials onto a USB drive connected to machine #1 and then complete the installation onto machine #2 which has my Windows 8?  How?  E.g. can Microsoft make the files available to me in some other form?   Is there some other way?  Is there no way at all?  It seems silly that I can install Windows 8, that I can activate it, that I could obtain wlsetup-web.exe and yet cannot obtain Essentials.

Before upgrading to Windows 10, I had no problem importing videos and creating a Movie.

Now once I import the movie, and try to run it before I burn the dvd, it won't play it at all.

The imported video simply goes to black.

What do I do??

I was running windows 7 on wireless network with latest updates(6-16-16) 64bit windows live mail.

Upgraded to windows 10 with WLM. Ran fine for 3 days then would not open. WLM was somehow corrupted. Did reboot, same result. Tried to uninstall and reinstall. Could not uninstall.

Reverted to windows 7. Tried various cleanups with wlarp.exe. Removed windows essentials one program at a time, all uninstalled fine except WLM. Latest msg is: cound not uninstall WLM errorcode
