As noted above, suddenly found emails not updating this morning.  Recently changed password (I think I had several days of things working ok, although I generally check emails elsewhere).  Could not verify email password this morning.  Then could not access internet-or apps.  Get message that "server not responding" but no other computers, phones or tablets in my house have any problem!  Any ideas?

I'm running Windows 10 (hate it) and use Windows Live Mail 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308) as my mail client. I also use Mozilla Firefox 47.0 as my browser. ans Avast free antivirus. Recently, I started experiencing inbox duplication and server problems and my ISP told me I was on a POP server and needed to change to IMAP and they walked me through creating a new account. Took me days to migrate all my folders (I know, probably was an easy way via export/ import, but it's done now). I then deleted my old account and renamed my new one to be the same name as the old. I've had nothing but problems ever since. My spam filters (self-created under "Folders/Message Rules") do not work. Upon exit, my deleted messages are not permanently deleted from the deleted folder even though I've set them to be under

"Options/Mail/Advanced/Maintenance". Which leads me to wonder why I now seem to have two "Deleted Items", Sent Items" and "Drafts" folders, the second set under a root folder called "Storage Folders" which I never remember seeing before. What are "Storage Folders" as opposed to all the folders I have created just under my account name, and what are they as opposed to the the three same named folders already there under my account name populated automatically when I created the account? Oh yeah, now sending seems to take longer before it leaves the "Outbox" folder and appears in my "Sent Items" folder. Plus I get a message with each received and sent message that it has not yet been downloaded and I have to click on a link to see the message either in the preview pane or directly. Plus, why when I sign on or click on the "Send/Receive" button does the program check ALL of my personal folders? This takes a lot of time and never happened before. Previously, I would get on the bottom status bar, a simple series of messages such as "Signing in to server", "Receiving mail", "n# of new messages" or "No new messages", all in a matter of seconds. Now it takes forever and I never get a clear indication of my status. Finally, I often get a pop up box saying some action could not be sent to the server. I'm sure someone is going to say resolve this with my ISP, but maybe someone has encountered some or all of these problems as well.

Running Outlook for Mac 14.6.5. After the most recent update the Right Reading Pane keeps disappearing.  I verify the setting and the checkmark next to 'Right'.   I then uncheck it and recheck it again and the Reading Pane reappears.    This happens every time I start Outlook.

I regularly need to send emails to multiple recipients in a group email. Mostly this works fine but there are some recipients who do not receive these emails although they receive individual emails from me. Does Windows Live Mail have a limit on the number of recipients in a group or the total number of emails which can be sent?

Second question: Is there any way of getting an automatic report back  when a particular recipient does not receive one of the emails?

Thanks

Colin, Rugby

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR Authentication failure: unknown user name or bad password. [Error = "ProxyNotAuthenticated" AuthResult = 0 = Proxy VI1PR02MB1231.eurprd02.prod.outlook.com: 1995: SSL]
  Server: 'pop3.live.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
  Protocol: POP3
  Port: 995
  Secure (SSL): Yes

Suggestions?

Hello everybody.. Got the Windows Live Email, and i managed to export all my emails to a folder, which was less than a Megabyte, which says obviously it doesn't  downloaded it all with the attachments and images and files of the thousands of the mails i got. But i want to download it all to make a full backup. I tried to look for 'Download all attachments and files' settings but i did not found one. Is it possible to make it download of all or at least recent emails, entirely?

Thanks ahead and have a nice day.

Split from this thread.

I have a Gmail email account, I use Windows Live Mail to access this account.  I need to add a signature to my emails.  I have been reading "HOW TO DO IT" for about 2 hours now and the "tabs" I am told to look for aren't there..........really not there.  The "signature" tab does not exist until you are actively in a new email, then you have a pull-down but it does not offer a way to update or add anything.  I have printed the "how do I create a signature in Windows Live Mail" and it did not work the "File" menu and "Options" are also NOT there.
Getting tired and need to find an answer.  I am on my computer all day for business BUT I am not a techie but any stretch.  This needs to be easy and it seems to not be.  I have done it before on Outlook Express it was easy.  HELP IS REALLY NEEDED.

Original title: Photos app in Windows 10

Is there some way to change the order in which photos are displayed?  They seem to be displayed with the most recent photos first but I would like to sort them so they are shown in the order they were taken.
