Reminder: Action required for users of the Windows Live Mail 2012 application
Dear User,
Earlier this year we introduced a new Outlook.com that provides enhanced performance, security and reliability.
It appears that you are currently using the Windows Live Mail 2012 application to connect to your Outlook.com account. The Windows Live Mail 2012 application does not support the synchronisation technologies used by the new Outlook.com. When account upgrades begin at the end of June, you will no longer be able to send or receive email sent to your Outlook.com account in the Windows Live Mail 2012 application. Rest assured, you can always access your Outlook.com account via any web browser at any time, and you will continue to have access to all your data that is currently in the Windows Live Mail 2012 application.
If you currently use the Windows Live Mail 2012 application, we recommend that you switch to the Mail app in Windows today. The Mail app is built in to Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. To begin using it, simply launch the app and add your Outlook.com account.
If you are using Windows 7, you can upgrade to a newer version of Windows to use the Mail app. If you do not wish to upgrade, you can access your account via a web browser, or you can take advantage of a free one-year subscription of Office 365 Personal and use Outlook 2016 to connect to your account.* Outlook 2016 works on Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10.
Please take action before 30 June 2016, which is when we’ll begin upgrading accounts that currently use the Windows Live Mail 2012 application.
We recognise that changes like this can be difficult, and apologise for any inconvenience this causes you. If you have more questions, please find answers to common FAQs in this help article, or you can contact Microsoft support.
Yours sincerely,
Outlook.com team

When I tried to uninstall the Windows Live Mail component of Windows Live essentials, I received the message I needed to uninstall the whole program which I did. Before although I had set up the Mail Program in Windows 10, I was getting the interfering message that I was still using live mail program to send and receive mail. Which was not true, but since yesterday the windows 10 Mail program was working very badly.
Now I would like to have at least part of the Windows Live essentials back. How do I do it and if I find where to download them, will they interfere with Windows 10? Thanks for help.
Greetings. Am using Windows Live 2012 (Build 16.4.3564.1216) on Win 10 os on a personal desktop - have been doing so since the fall for a certain account without any issue. A few days ago its POP3.LIVE.COM server keeps throwing back the login dialog box saying the password is invalid despite repeatedly entering what I know is the correct info, Have not made any changes to the accounts settings, verified they have not been changed, and am curious why this is occurring. Suspect the password was inadvertently changed on the server or has become invalid somehow.
In any case not sure how to resolve the issue and would like to start by verifying the server settings are correct and if so, reset the password for the POP3.LIVE.COM server but do not know how to do the latter (can't easily find this on line).
The error (when I finally cancel out of the unending loop of being asked to enter my credentials) is as follows:
"Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (hillarion) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR authentication failed
Server: 'POP3.LIVE.COM'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes"
Any advice is welcome.
Presently my server settings seem to be up to snuff per online help
SERVER TAB
Server type = POP3
Incoming mail (POP3) = POP3.LIVE.COM
Outgoing mail (SMTP) = SMTP.LIVE.COM

Hi,
Using Outlook for Mac 2011 (most recent update v14.6.5). I recently deleted a few gmail business accounts (deleted in Google Admin) that I was using in Outlook. I then went to Outlook to delete the same accounts, and Outlook just freezes and becomes unresponsive. I've tried everything, including repairing and rebuilding the Identity but the problem persists. Now, since I can't delete the extra account, every time outlook sends/receives, I receive an error pop up message (2 of them) and it's a deal breaker if I can't fix it. Please help!
Thanks!
I just purchased a new Dell XPS 8900 desktop with Windows 10 (not an upgrade) and NVIDIA GT 730 graphics card; and am currently using IE 11.
I can't change the Windows Live Mail font size or type, though I have tried several ways recommended by Microsoft posts including file>options>mail>read>fonts and/or file>options>mail>compose>; then restart computer each time. Nothing is working.
Is this a dumb question--I read somewhere it could have to do with IE 11? I'm accustomed to using IE and would prefer not to have to change if at all possible.
Does anyone have a different solution or know of another post to solve changing the Windows Live Mail font size?
I have 2 user accounts in Vista using Windows Mail. The email accounts are completely separate from each other. I just setup a new Windows 10 computer. I setup an account, Account A, in Windows Live Mail (WLM) into which I imported one of my Vista accounts (Vista 1). It placed all imported emails/folders into a "Storage Folder."
I had planned to import my other Vista account, Vista 2, into WLM but my concern is that the folders in that account will also end up in the same Storage folder, which would be messy. Is that what will happen, or will there be a separate folder (Storage Folder 2)?
Is there any way to move the folders from the storage folder into the actual account folders? I tried by dragging and had no success. I could move the folders around in the Storage Folder, but that's not what I want. Some of the folders in the Storage folders are active and I'd like to be able to add new incoming/sent emails to them.
If I am unable to move the folders in the Storage folder, would I be better to setup another "user" in Win 10 and have a separate WLM in that for my Vista 2?
Thank you.
how can I fix windows live mail error id:0x8007007A ?
---Original Title: Windows Photo Live---
Setting up a new PC. I can't locate a link to download Windows Live Photo Gallery for Windows 10. Help?
I have been using Windows Live Mail and Outlook for emails, and Outlook for calendar.
I started trying to use Mail and it simply isn't working. When I click on the syncing symbol, I get the "line of dots moving from left to right" for a minute or so, then the message that syncing has failed, and "we didn't find anything to show here".
As well as my @live.co.uk email address, I now also have another one, (plus.com) which I added as another account to Mail, and then removed again, as it didn't seem to make any difference.
I would like to be able to use Mail for email, with both these email addresses. How can I do this?
I would like to be able to copy my address list from "People" to Mail. How do I do this?
I would like to be able to copy all the information on my Outlook Calendar to the Calendar app but there seems to be a problem with syncing this too. How do I do this?
(I have tried the instructions in the "Help" pages, to no avail, so there is no point in directing me to them.)
