I saved a file in movie maker in the format 'recommended for this project'. When I opened it, only the music came with a plain black screen. Can anyone suggest hoe i can solve this problem?

I am recovering from an electric storm lightening strike that knocked out my PC, and other equipment.  I recovered the hard drive and have it in external conversion kit and it works.  I have a new notebook and need to retrieve my old emails and contacts.  I found Live Mail 2011 is not available, so I installed 2012.  Question how can I get the Live Mail 2011 mail and contact files to work in Live Mail 2012?  Much Obliged in advance!

Cannot print from Windows Live Mail

Out of the blue I can no longer print anything from WLM.  I could this morning but nothing since this pm.  I have used WLM for a couple of years.  I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions on previous posts to no avail.  I can print from other applications, e.g. Word, Excel.  The print icon is NOT greyed out but when I click it nothing happens.  I am running Windows 7.

I use Windows Live Mail program to get my emails through my internet provider "Telus".  Within my program I had set up many different folders in my In Box to categorize emails that I wanted to keep.  Some how my grand son with the stroke of a few keys seems to have accidentally deleted my email account and suddenly I have no In Box or any subfolders.  I have added my email account again and now all emails from the last last year are downloading, so at least I've recovered my emails but does anyone know if there is a way to recover the subfolders that I had before my account was deleted?  I've looked in the "Trash" folder and there is nothing.   I've also tried system restore to a previous date but I got an error so that is not an option.  I'm still on XP.

Mail for Windows 10 comes up with error message 0x85050041 when trying to synchronise. Why? Worked okay before yesterday!

Mail for Windows 10 is not very good compared to Windows Live Mail that you have apparently consigned to history.

Why why why?

Why Microsoft has killed off Windows Live Mail?

Can i know why microsoft decided to stop working on WLM and why it does not work propely anymore with automatic POP setting? 

It only work with manual IMAP setting now, but it's a bit different in speed time etc. and i hate that.
I really don't get why from one day to another microsoft has destroyed it. No updates from 2012 for WLM and i still find it the best email client compared to others like Em Client, Thunderbird, Outlook etc.



 

Mac Outlook

I have not used Outlook for ages, I use Apple Mail, but I want to look at my old Outlook (and Entourage emails). I have backups called Main Identity. How do I get at the stuff in them, using either Outlook 2011 or 2016? The MS help pages talk about importing  .pst files, but I can't see these in my backups. I am sure I am missing something obvious.

Hi,

I am running Windows 8.1 with it's standard Windows Live e-mail programme.

I have been using this for years and have never had a login window appear and ask for a username and password.

Yesterday, all of a sudden, when I opened Windows Live to get my e-mails as I've done for years, a window appeared asking for username and password which I duly entered.

The window disappeared and then 2 seconds later re-appeared asking again for username and password. No matter how many times I tried, it would not recognize my details.

Now I am unable to receive e-mails or get into my e-mail account at all.

I do not know why suddenly after years this window has started.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.
