For some CRAZYYY reason which I can not figure out, anytime someone sends me an email & the subject heading ends in a period & then I drag & drop the email to a folder so I can keep as a record, IT WILL NOT OPEN. I used to have windows 7 & now I have 10 and still does it. By the way, I use Live Mail & I assume this is the problem. My co-worker has always used Outlook & he does not have this problem. For example: Subject heading may have the name of a company with incorporated be abbreviated. "Inc." If they would just put Inc & leave period off, everything is fine. I can forward any email to my self & delete the period & get around it, but it's just the fact it drives me crazy! We deal a lot with the same companies & I usually explain the problem & ask them to resend & delete the period themselves. I figure after asking them enough times & driving them crazy about it, they would remember not to add it. IS THERE A WAY TO FIX THIS PERMANTELY OR IS IT JUST A BUG WITHIN THE PROGRAM?

I recently purchased an HP laptop with Windows 10 Home pre installed.  I really need to edit videos so I downloaded Windows essentials 2012 but keep getting an error message saying that movie maker and photos will not download.  Any fixes for this??

I am unable to SEND to a category of email addresses.  I select the category in the To: box, but Mail does not recognize that there is anything there.  I click on the "+" button, and the category disappears from the To: box.

The error messages is:   The message could not be sent.  Type an email address for one or more recipients in the To:, CC:, or BCC: box.

I have been using photo gallery to view and edit my photos in lieu of paying for more expensive softwares. However, the image thumbnails in my folders have been distorted and it makes it difficult to tell what the image is without opening it all over again! Please help!! I'm including a screenshot in case ANYONE recognizes the issue.

Andre helped me with movie maker and I now have audio, but no picture. I tried using +R as suggested in one reply, but got no reaction  by pressing this combination. Can anyone help me to see pictures as well as hear audio, please?

I just downloaded the latest Movie Maker and I'm running it on Win10. I'm aggregating thousands of still time lapse pictures into a movie just like I did with previous versions of Movie Maker. But now I have "My Beautiful Picture" overlaid on every frame.  Don't tell me to go to each of the thousands of frames and delete this text one at a time. How do I abate this nuisance?

Original title: Miovie Maker

Hello, I get a lot of junk mail even after I've added the sender to the blocked sender's list and I came across a post from 2013 that seemed like it would help, but the directions given were for Outlook and I use Window's Live. I've pasted the post below and I'm hoping that someone can tell me how to do it with Windows Live?

Hi tonybond57,

Welcome to Microsoft Community! I understand that you want to learn the steps on how you block people from sending emails to your account and view the list of people you have already blocked on the account, which is an important matter in keeping your account secured and ensuring at a safe contact is not blacklisted. To view and add people into your blocked sender's list, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Inbox.
  2. If you are using the old user interface of Microsoft Hotmail, click on Options (located on the upper right corner of your screen, next to a question mark icon) then More Options. If you are using Outlook.com, click on the gear icon before your name in the upper right corner of the page and then More mail settings.
  3. From the Hotmail Options screen under the category Preventing junk email, click Safe and blocked senders.
  4. Click Blocked senders. The next screen should display your entire list of blocked senders.
  5. To block a contact, add the name or domain (the part of an e-mail address that follows the “@” sign, such as hotmail.com) in the box and then click Add to list.
