I don't know what happened, but now when I open "new mail" to write an email, the typing is as tall as the world trade center - even though the font is set at 'Arial' and size 12. When the email is sent, it appears to the receiver as normal, but when I am typing it, it appears to me really huge as if I were hard of seeing.
I searched the "help" topics and tried to click on the "Styles" button, but it does not work - nothing happens. It is as if the Styles area (under the "format text" group) has been deactivated.
I've even looked in the Options area, and can not find anywhere a place to correct this.
How can I reset my program to type an email in the size and font that is chosen and not in a huge print format? How do I reactivate my styles section?

I can't stand the stripped down version of Mail on Windows 8. I really hate Outlook.com even more. Windows Live Mail was a perfect option for me and others of my generation.
I really liked using Windows Live Mail on my Windows 7 laptop. When I purchased my Windows 8 laptop I tried to download Windows Live Essentials on it and got a message already downloaded, but I can't find it when I search apps. Is this referring to Mail already on the Windows 8 system. YUK!
Advice please!
