Original Title: Can I Set My "AUTOMATICE AWAY REPLY IN MY E-MAIL" PRIOR TO LEAVING??
I am using Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail. By accident, I put the cursor on "Go Offline" and am now offline. No matter how hard I try, I cannot go back Online.
I have asked the program to update the incoming messages, it asks me if I want to "
Go Online." I say "yes" but nothing happens....it does not change. Is there another way to go Online?
Original title: Windows Live Mail
I have verified repeatedly that the account name is correct, I have never made it an alias to another account. When I try to make it an alias to my outlook account now it tells me that it doesn't exist, but when I try to make it an alias to my outlook account by creating a new email it tells me I can't because that account is already in use. I've been using this account almost daily for several years, and it is always signed in on my phone.
please help me get the account back.

I use MSN as my Homepage to make it easy for me to access my email.
I have just been prompted to sign into my email account to access JUST the MSN.com Homepage.
WHY?
I do not want to be signed in to my email account at all times.
When did this go into effect? ......and why????
If I have to have my email accessible to anyone using my computer by having MSN.com as
my homepage, I WILL BE CHANGING MY HOMEPAGE.
Clicks equal money guys. BAD idea.
My husband and I shared a computer a long time ago but in recent years have each had our own. However we share the same Broadband Account, which is in his name. My BT Yahoo Account email account is a sub account of his. I have recently been trying to get away from this because I needed more email addresses and set up independent email accounts, though at present still using the Yahoo one. My old computer was linked wirelessly to his, but we changed that to a cable link because it was unsatisfactory. I bought a new computer in May set up for Windows 7 64 bit but still have a lot of trouble, most fairly minor irritations and I suspect some of this is because some of the old connections are still there.
To get to the point (sorry !) when I access Windows Live Mail from the task bar, First I get a little blue and yellow shield - if I click on that, I get a pop up from Windows Essentials asking permission to open Live Mail. ( I have not installed Windows Essentials apart from Windows Live Mail.) In looking for a way round this through User Control I found that in the Credentials Vault, my husband`s name is down, not mine - and down as modified today ! As he has set up a home network so we can access each other`s computers as necessary, I hesitate to delete this but it seems odd that my own name does not appear. Could this be the source of some of my problems ?
I would be grateful for any advice.
