Hi I am having major problems with Windows Live Mail. This morning I clicked on the icon and only thing that came up was the windows live mail splash screen plus the rotating arrow however it was checking emails and telling me emails were coming in. The
windows live window did not open and would not open when I clicked the email icon either. I uninstalled and reinstalled windows live mail now 3 times and the same thing happens, I need this fixed please help!

For some reason my mail is off line.When I press go online nothing happens. Have not been able to use live mail for 4 days and wonder what happened.
My Live Mail no longer connects to my server. Initial respnse when trying to go online is 'email' cancelled. Checking error message shows error 0x800CCC0D. In an attempt to recover it I removed account and then added it again. All this succeeded in
doing was to lose all my saved emails! Any ideas?
I have set up various groups/categories in Windows Live Mail for sending group e-mails and when I click on them, they appear to have everyone in, but if I try to send an e-mail, there are either no contacts in there (and I get the message, 'you must type
a recipient in the To box') or there is only one recipient address in there. When I click on the category to edit it, the original contacts have all disappeared! I try putting them in again and click save and they don't stay there! It used to work fine, what
is happening??
I created an alias and somehow made it my primary address. When I try to make my @msn.com email address the primary the system will not allow it and tells me I cannot make my address @msn.com the primary. I am trying to remove the alias I created.
Win 8 Live Mail was also working fine for me until I upgrade to Win 8.1 this morning. Now it constantly give error message that it cannot find the email servers. I have 2 gmail (IMAP) account and one streamyx (POP3) account and all have similar errors. Please refer to error message and mail server set ups below. Please take note that I have no issue with all 3 mails when I use Windows Mail app. I have also repaired Win Essential 2012 successfully but problem did not go away.

Incoming mail server : imap.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server : smtp.gmail.com
Log on using clear text authentication
Outgoing Mail Server requires authentication and uses same setting as incoming email server
Outgoing SMTP using SSL and Port 465
Incoming IMAP using SSL and Port 993
POP3 setting for Streamyx account as below :
Incoming mail server : pop.streamyx.com
Outgoing mail server : smtp.streamyx.com

now i can only see limited number of emails on my iphone , lets say only around 15 message or 1 week back. it used to show a few hundred before and suddenly this happen. Ive try to contacted apple , but since its also happen in every other devices , so
its not a problem with the phone and they believe it must be some setting in the email account. However i couldnot find any answer in the forum, so please help.

I have just gone on to Windows 8 and Windows Essentials is included. I wrongly assumed that the mail app was 'Live Mail'. I've been unable to locate / open Live Mail and so some guidance will be appreciated please. I need a non web based email programme to link with another and the mail app does not work.

I have an email account with hotmail. I recently changed from hotmail to outlook.com. When i registered it, I gave my name for email display name wrongly ie(DAN KM (dan@****)). Now when I try to change my display name for email from DAN KM to DAN CHETTY,
its not working. I went to profile and changed my account name. But its not taking any change while I send email to others. It still shows the same old name.
Kindly assist me on how the change the email display name.
