I'm running Windows Live Mail (WLM) 2012 Build 16.4.3508.0205 with Explorer 10 version 10.0.9200.16736. I have not installed any of the other Windows Live Essentials products.

WLM is slow at starting up - it can sometime take a couple of minutes to start synchronising with my POP3 mail server. This problem only started several months ago - possibly since I upgraded to Explorer 10 or after installing another Windows Update.

Closer inspection shows that WLM is stalling while the Windows Live Communications Platform is starting up in the background.

Is a solution available to stop the Windows Live Communications Platform from stalling the start up of WLM? Can the Windows Live Communications Platform be disabled without impacting WLM?

Any advice would be appreciated - thanks

How do I backup and restore Windows Live Mail (including all Folders and Contacts)?

Where are Contacts stored?

When replying to emails I keep getting the message, "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message the pictures will not be included."
Problem is, there are no pictures in either the reply or thread.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how to resolve the issue? Thanks.
Hi, I recently upgraded to IPhone 5 and am interested in taking advantage of tying my calendar in Windows live mail with the one in the IPhone; according the hype I read, if one enters a new item or makes changes on either the DT or IPhone, it also sync and does the same in the  other.  I  have ICloud  installed, and am registered with Microsoft.  I have made entries on both mediums but they are not crossing over.  Thanks and Semper Fi Ben

I've looked everywhere here and on the web for resolution to this issue.  Here goes:  With WLM reply-to, WLM replies to original email address and adds a semi-colon and a space (apparently as designed).  However, this causes an 800CCC0f error resulting in the message stuck in OUTBOX.  But this can easily be remedied by REMOVING the space after the address, and send/receive.  Readiing about 800CCC0f there are patches and resets, but this is the only such problem I have in this regard.  Those fixes seem a little drastic!

I cannot delete one message - keep getting an known error has occurred . This is from a site I have used before. Now I can't receive email .  I tried to repair windows essentials using AppWiz.cpl.   The repair completed OK - no error message.

I also have problem with shutdown.  The system appears to shut down  - lights go out.  Then the system starts up again.

Sometimes I get a message at shutdown - A program needs to close Waiting for Task Host.

Are the problems related?

I would appreciate any help.

Margaret

I was able to delete the message by moving it to junk mail and deleting it there.  My email is still frozen and the logoff problem persists.

how can I add an alternative email account to my hotmail account? alias alternative is not helping me because one of the account have nothing to do with microsoft products.

I am trying to add an e-mail with 26 characters and it never synchronizes with live.com

Printer works fine with every other program.  But about a week ago I could no longer print emails or attachments with LiveMail.  We have not changed any connections or added anything.  And as I read we are not the only ones with this problem, so it is not our computer it is a change in LiveMail.  Have their been any recent updates?
